They (as in the world at large not wasps specifically) should open an all Cov sports shop in the city centre. CCFC Wasps Blaze CRFC whoever else there is. Could have old Cov sports memorabilia and all sorts. Would annoy a few on here but I think it’d be great.
Good idea, as long as Wasps are not included.

Also Re the office space the 10'000 square foot office has been empty since October 2019.

3 office sites are still showing as available non currently under offer

Is this the good sky sports darts or the shit other one?? (Disclaimer- my darts knowledge is also shit!)....

Purely because Wasps are there and you see them as interlopers or something else?
Just about, yeah. Not overly comfortable with Blaze, either.

Christ knows how I'd cope if we ever do a full-blown collaboration with 'em all.

I like the idea but only if I could take a shit in the pockets of wasps blazers on sale and enjoy seeing the hooray Henry's looking a bit peeved

Going to be big changes in the rugby world and probably the football world too especially EFL and non league. What that has in store for Wasps we will have to wait and see, I just can’t see it being in their long term interest to deny ccfc sharing their stadium.

The government don't seem ready to hand over any bail out to sports. There was some money that went from the National Lottery to Sport England but that is aimed at grassroots. The plan for 'elite' sport seems to be for the top levels to bail out those in trouble, eg the Premier League helps the EFL. Problem is in rugby its the top teams that are in trouble.

Not a problem though as Vaughn says their hotel and exhibition businesses, unlike every other similar business, is thriving. Looks like Wasps fans have also decided that the new tenant, which the CT piece says is an office lease, is another team coming in to replace us in using the stadium bowl.

Seems Chiefdave has picked up on my pet hate in the world of sporting terminology.

Looks like a big push will be happening from rugby to get the begging bowl out

Sports minister more or less said yesterday football at top level should sort things out themselves the money is there within sport. Talk of soon to be 4 million out of work and hardly any vacancies in any industry can you really see the Government, any Government aiding businesses out who pay thousands of pound per WEEK to a lot of their employees.

Can't see it happening as it opens up a huge, and very expensive, can of worms. Premiership Rugby has tried to position itself as second only to Premier League football. While we all know that is BS if they bail out top level rugby then they'd have to bail out every other sport. ECB for example have made numerous redundancies and are looking at moving from Lords to save money.

Where do you stop? If you bailout clubs like Wasps, who lets face it would struggle to make a convincing argument they are solvent given their other business and debt, how do you say no to the likes of CRFC, Blaze etc. Prem rugby clubs claim they are losing 500K a month. If you assume we're looking at next spring before crowds are fully back, at the earliest, then its a year without crowds and that's 72m just to cover that.

When Prem Rugby clubs go begging for money the sports minister should hand them a copy of the Telegraph article yesterday saying everything was fine and tell them to get stuffed.

While I think there's a lot to be said for having the wealthy elite of sports (esp football) contribute more towards the smaller clubs who're more vulnerable it has to be pointed out the massive contradiction this is compared to every other sector.

They're not telling Amazon to pay for the local high street, nor are they telling the rich to contribute to the poor to keep a roof over their head and food on their table. So why should PL pay for the EFL?

Either it's a good idea for those with more to help out, in which case it should be rolled out across the industries and society, or it's not and they shouldn't be asking them in the first place.

As the premiership rugby clubs are on par with the football premiership as they try and claim.

In theory the Premiership rugby teams should be helping the lower leagues. But doesn't appear thats even been suggested. Funny that.

More mid to lower Championship budgets in reality?

I see Vaughan has suggested opening function rooms in the event they make the playoffs.
Accentuating the potential hypocrisy between hospitality venue's and Stadium restrictions?

Government rules are currently preventing spectators from attending rugby matches but some of Wasps' Premiership rivals are using their facilities to host match-based functions for away games
Thought you couldn't show sports in hospitality venues at the moment as they were worried people wouldn't maintain social distancing?

Edit: Found it, not allowed to show broadcasts which may encourage shouting. Look forward to them trying this and getting a nice big fine.

There was a Vicar on BBC breakfast the other day who suggested he was likely to break any potential future restrictions that prevented services going ahead.

You can run events with up to 30 ppl to be fair - albeit, likely without showing broadcasts.

I'm going to an evening with Paul Merson this evening in Sheffield, me, him and 28 others. Cozy...but socially distanced.

I heard that’s where they get him to pronounce Svetoslav Todorov for 3 hours

Will be interesting to see who it is and what size space they have taken. As you would assume its something big by the way that the telegraphs pr bit read.
tbf, nobody in their right mind writes a press release saying this is all a bit underwhelming.

Post on their forum claiming their CEO saying that their game against Exeter Chiefs (who are openly admitting that for them the game is a dead rubber) would be a "complete sell out".....
