It's just too plain for me. The pattern won't be visible unless you're within about a meter of it. Other than that it's basically a plain sky blue T shirt, some trim or detailing would have livened it up a bit imo
This is where I stand on it. From a distance it just looks like a basic teamwear shirt you’d pay a tenner for from SportsDirect.

I like the Kit it's an improvement on last season, I've voted DGAF though because i've only ever worn a football shirt when playing.... i've no doubt one of my Granddaughter's will be at me for one though.

Really liked it initially but you have a point

It's a great kit - unique concept, true to the clubs identity, high calibre sponsor, an uncomplicated and confident execution befitting a club of our stature, will look good on all the fatties as well as on the players, isn't a throwback kit which we've had plenty of, and isn't an off-the-shelf template. I'd like to see the same creative idea carried through into the second and third kits - if they can do that I think we'll have the best kit range in ages.

I really like the Cov tree, I hope it sticks around in some form. The shirt itself is decent but a bit too plain for me, I need to see the whole thing in a game before I really decide though.

Agree, Dark blue Collar and Dark blue trem on the sleeves, just like the kit when the likes Hutchinson, Hunt and Stein were playing.

Having White Short's is too much like Man City 🤔

As you say, it's nice but it wasn't going to live up to some of the concepts I've seen recently.

Nice to have an original design though, rather than constantly recreating retro kits

I'd need to see it in person but from the pictures I love it. I worried it would be dull but the shade of blue makes it.

It’s wank and reminiscent of the kit@ efforts in the past.

Shitty transfer badges and a sublimation based on a wtf Cov Tree??

Now the Goalie kit is awesome imagine that in skyblue and boom best seller.

Its not Hummel tho its the club trying fleece the fans by being cheap and thinking fans will buy anything because its the latest shirt.

Well this is the first time I’ve said it since he arrived but Doug and the commercial team have got this very wrong.

They’ve paid for minimal design and it looks that way.

Look at Sunderland-a tier 1 Hummel club (apparently) and you can tell with their kit design. Lovely , stitched badge and material just that bit better quality.

Second year in a row that I haven’t bought a home shirt.

Used to work in the clothing industry and this shirt is probably made for around a fiver.

This years actually looks like it too.

Love it. Plain, simple, elegant. A billion times better than last season's monstrosity.

It's alright. Similar to the Nike kit unfortunately. I wish Hummel would cover the entire kit in the pattern rather than leave the sleeves blank.

I genuinely think plenty of Coventry fans would rather we had a kit like that every year instead of the experimental stuff we usually have.

Cracking shirt. Love that we’re paying homage to the city’s history.

Hopefully teaches a few people a thing or two about our history

It’s a lot better than the bin bag Kit@ kits.
I don’t get the fuss about Hummel though, personally. Other than the Lg.1 promotion and the 2 Tone ones, they’ve not been great on the most part.

Lots of reasons...

They are properly bespoke.
They all have some form of meaning.
They are extremely unique. Even this more simple design is different to anything we've had before.

I'd take an average Hummel kit over anything we had with Nike or Puma. Nike kits being templates that Sunday league teams wore was embarrassing. I remember turning up at games where the goalkeeper of the opposing side had the same kit as our away keeper kit.

When I see the design all I see is angry birds

Also think the trim would be better in navy

One I might end up getting in an end of season sale.

I wouldn’t say they’re extremely unique considering most have been a nod to previous kits we’ve had.

The quality of them isn’t great either, half of the ones I’ve bought have labels starting to peel off. I got a training top and the badge fell off the first time it was washed.

So far I like the look of it, but until I see it in the flesh I won't commit myself to a vote.

I really like it, but I really liked last season's home kit and hated the play off kit, so, I'm probably in the minority with my views.

Even those ones are different, but that's arguably been a bad thing. The away shirt last year was disappointing as once again they only had the pattern on the front.

Quality is similar to the Nike kits for me. Obviously they are older, but none of those I have remain in good condition.
