Sounds like it’s still on just negotiations taking place on the perm (which I still don’t get).

If both happen I'd like Matondo to be announced first and his media video put out, then about 2 mins from the end someone interups, walks over to Rabbi and is like 'hang on Rabbi, hang on seems like we got a little schlupprise for you!' then Schlupp just rocks up and gets involved

I’d just be happy for them to sign at this point so we have someone threw the door

Probably wants a guaranteed big signing on fee when he signs his new contract.

Sounds like it’s rangers and not the player holding it up

He is guaranteed a full wage though. As per the terms of his contract.

The variable you bring in is a massive exception to the rule and pretty much never happens.

It's also irrelevant as he's not going to willingly take a pay cut to come here.

Google 'players who have taken a wage cut to go onloan' - there's loads of them. Mostly players that actually want to go and play for a club.

I’m a bit confused. Why would we be negotiating bonus payments with rangers?

would it be our willingness to cover any bonuses in his current rangers contract, depending on how they perform rest of the season?

So I guess, he has bonus payments (such as goal bonus etc) that Rangers want us to pay him but we are saying nope.

Be funny if Gimoc was finally right about something and it was snatched away at the last moment.

Bonus' for the permanent part of the move would be my guess. That's all we're doing though isn't it, guessing.

That or an improved loan/permanent fee if we hit certain targets? The former would still seem a bit odd as you'd think that would be for Rangers to discuss with the player?

We we really need a player in this position ? Surely CM and a defender is more of a priority.

The guys already at Ryton, so I'm guessing just a load of hot air from both clubs to try and get their own way. I'm sure they'll agree terms as what would be the benefit to Rangers. They clearly want rid of him.

Yes, if we want to play with proper wingers. If Lampard wants to play Haji as a striker, we have 2 first wingers and that’s it.

I would have thought the other two positions are a priority for the moment. We also have the Australian kid.

Raphael really needs game time in England. A League 1 club he can play for regularly would be perfect. Tavares just needs to go somewhere else full stop.

The Australian kid who has played 10 minutes all season. Both Robins and Lampard said the same thing; talented player but his body isn’t robust enough to play meaningful minutes yet.

CM and RB are positions of need, agreed. That doesn’t mean we’re not working on signing players in this position. As things stand, we don’t have the personnel to play the system we want to play and that’s a problem.

Both clubs want to deal done and if the player is still around then id assume he wants to come. Its down to the money men to resolve which im sure they can.

We don't really do the big announcements or press conferences anymore. We just get a vid of body parts in a kit so this will just drop and we will know or will fade away like a fart in s gale.

If these happen also assume Tavares, Collins, Burroughs or Howley get loaned out or sold for a small fee
