Maybe the rumoured 28 yr old with 300+ games is Plan B because Schlupp & Matondo's clubs are asking too much so you must have a back up in case they don't back down. I hope something comes off or this forum will go mental, I however shall remain calm. 😁

His career has been miles better here than it otherwise would’ve been

Playing 5 minutes here and there, the part of him that wants to actually contribute to first team football can’t be happy. As I said - wasted.

He’s presumably had many chances to agitate for first team football and has chosen to stay here instead - I doubt anyone would’ve stood in his way

Agreed. Its highly doubtful he gets close to the contract he is on here anywhere else

fact people on here are obsessed with info being shared is mind boggling

Well stop sharing gossip until it's fact then. 😱

I am not saying he is, it was on this or another thread that it was suggested he was unwanted, somebody mentioned Hilßner vibes about him.

TBF he did say that was his opinion and he’s heard the opposite from his ITK i think.

Publicly, Robins and Lampard both said the same thing that he’s a talented player but just not robust enough for standard we play at.

I don’t know what that means exactly. It doesn’t point to him being necessarily unfit, more his body being too fragile to cope. That was my interpretation.

Even still, was this known at the point of signing him? If so, I wonder why we signed him.

In the last unseen video he looked pretty impressive. He wasn't bought to go straight into the 1st team so I don't see the problem with him developing slowly this season with a view to challenging for a 1st team place next season. We signed him because he is a cheap option with little downside if it doesn't work out, so lets be a bit patient and see how things pan out in due course.

How dare you make such a suggestion
You know that if the player isn't an instant success then he must be shite!

Pretty sure Matondo was a target because he can play on either wing.

We do need a RW because Raphael isn’t up to it.
You have no idea, just like any of the rest of us, if Raphael is up to it or not.
He was signed as a prospect, he’s still a prospect so we’re signing players ahead of him, as we should have done in the summer too.
When will cov fans learn to stop judging players so early?
