Correct, I won't argue with that figure, but a damn site more in the couple of seasons leading up to the SISU takeover 20-22k being mentioned on here.Which was partly a boost from the Ricoh opening, we were averaging 14-16k in our final seasons at highfield road.

This is amazing, SISU have converted a Championship club with 20,000 crowds to one where the fans accept the idea of a 12,000 capacity stadium.
FFS, have you all fallen for the PR, are you all that meek.

With the right promotions, advertising etc and based on the Coventry population I genuinely believe that the club could be getting 25k + in the premier league if not 30k. It is a similar population to Leicester etc and they've managed it. Whatever they were getting I'm the championship, we should also be "aiming to get". A 12000 sweater stadium stinks of a club attempting to downsize and accept a long future in the lower leagues. Blackpool which is half the population of Coventry has a 17,000 seater stadium. Yet we are planning to build a smaller ground? Its nothing short of ridiculous in my opinion.
The 20,000 was at average gate receipts of. £10 per person and was declining before sisu even purchased the club.
As wasps will find out life at the Ricoh will not be rosy.
I don't disagree.what is ridiculous is 8000 odd home fans dotted round a 32k stadium owned by a Rugby club.

And who is at fault for this? ah your beloved mates.
No, they played their part but ultimately the blame lies at the feet of the clubs owners. The Council?

8000! Haven't SISU done well?

Even SISU are not as shit as some of our fairweather "fans"

unfortunately staying at the Ricoh under a matchday only little/no access to matchday and 365 revenue pretty much confines us to a league one-championship yo-yo club at best. Can't see any decent owner wanting to buy us now that the ricoh belongs to wasps.

How do you know?
You have no idea of the current deal and no idea of any future deals at the Ricoh.

So you will attend to support the lads, regardless ?
If Sisu put match day prices up to £40 and continued to run the team down would you still attend ?
We know full well that without access to matchday and addition revenue we have one of the lowest 3-4 turnovers in the championship - the below season our turnover was £10.8m only doncaster, barnsley and peterborough's was lower - test our attendance was better than 9 other team.
We do know that wasps want as much revenue as possible to make them the biggest powerhouse in european rugby, so it's unlikely they will give us matchday revenue and they certainly won't be giving us access to 365 day revenue.
We don't know 100% for sure, but in all probability, we're fooked.

Fisher said the current model falls over in the championship and the financial data from our years in the championship seem to support that. It's ok though, we will just go for the italia plan of getting 25k+ and back to back promotions and then we be rolling in the money from the premier league.
Why the fuck would they do that? Pointless example.

Looking at the bars then, we get the green up by playing well and progressing up the leagues, the yellows a given.
The blue needs to be increased by looking at improving incomes. Get what revenues Wasps allow us, increase our own access to pitch side advertising, get that bloody shop stocked, move it to the Ricoh in with Wasps or take up the phoneshop empty unit in Tescos if it hasn't gone already, utilise the Ricoh ticketing system along with Wasps. In general share common facilities with wasps to generate savings. Provide our own offsite parking facilities along with whatever we can get from Wasps. Corporate increases, Wasps/hotel/CCFC packages. Provide our own food outlets outside, hire the indoor arena and do it there. Success generates increased incomes in coach travel, away tickets, shirts, put on train specials for away games from the Ricoh/Coventry.
Theres loads more if you get success and stability.
Stop moaning about revenues and actively pursue some. Stability at the Ricoh will help. IMHO we can generate more additional incomes at the Ricoh than we could at a site in Meriden, Ryton or Balsall common.
Go for it ..............

Yeah. Tim Fisher says alot of things most of which should be taken with a huge pinch of salt until proven. We need to get back in the championship to prove or disprove this little line.
Is what he's actually saying is SISU won't put anymore money in than they are in league one so should we go up we can expect to come straight back down?

Stability under a 50 year rental agreement didn't work.
And how do you play well and progress up the league's, when you don't have the revenue in the first place to invest in the squad? There's only so many shirts and Pitchside advertising you can sell.
More try much everything you suggest there involves some level of investment, money we haven't got. Wasps use ticket master who take a cut, we have our own ticketing system,
I think you're clutching at straws. We're between a rock and a hard place, there is no real bright future. Really can't wait for the Concourse to be repainted and the seats to be changed in the next couple of years.

Then give up, become a victim and moan about it on bulletin boards.
Haven't you heard mate, some exciting stadium news in the new year and you can take that as gospel from fish face himself............:jerkit:Let's say for arguments stake Sisu come out and announce that land has been secured. They let it be known the location and then they ask fans for their views. The ground is 6 miles away.
The majority of fans say they will not attend once it is built and don't support the location selected.
What would Sisu do? What would they do if the fans opposed the location of the new stadium? Seems logical that it has been really difficult to secure any loaction (that's if of course they have indeed been looking).
Just wonder what our owners would do if they knew they were going to lose thousands and thousands more supporters because of the location not backed by the City faithful?
Would then then blame the fans? Look for another location? Focus on the Ricoh? Fook off? Or will they just say 'here's the location, take it or leave it?'
:thinking about:
The financial figures from the last season in the championship also back it up, so unless the new deal involves a load of revenue streams we don't know about then yes it is proven to be true.Yeah. Or we can be open to the idea of a new stadium, at least keep an open mind until local/figure, etc are given, or the idea is completely quashed.
