Legends bar, right outside the Empire State building. They open at 7 and do a breakfast as well.

5.15 for me, I have seen Legends mentioned on other forums, sounds a good bet. The closest I have got was a Brewer in Breck who gets in at 6 am on a Saturday and said I would be welcome. I would have to watch the first half in the car. No chicken curry but dog is welcome.

Just booked a trip to NY for 4 days. Keep any suggestions coming! I’ll browse this thread again before going.
Got tickets to see the Yankees…in the cheap seats, on $12.
Anyone been there before? I’ve no idea how to get to the stadium. Uber? Underground?
I went on the underground in NY on my only other trip there and was totally confused. I lived In London for 10 years and was fine but couldn’t figure NYs system out at all!

We went to the Yankees in April and got the tube - it was pretty straightforward. It's more of a spectacle than an actual sporting event but is worth doing for the experience.

Google maps worked for me while I was there. I found the underground system confusing too but the maps made it easier.
My favourite thing to do was the 9/11 museum but I believe this has been closed down now. I thought the Empire State was a waste of money and best for views was the Rockefeller centre.

9/11 is still open. We went up the Rockefeller rather than the Empire and it’s definitely the way to go.
Beer Culture is worth a visit if you like craft beer.

That’s good news. I thought I had read the museum had closed. I’m planning on going back next year so hopefully still is then. Will definitely be trying Beer Culture.

Some good craft beer bars in Brooklyn and a nice walk back to Manhatten over the Brooklyn Bridge with spectacular views, was there in October unfortunately all my teenage kids wanted to do was go shopping

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. We went to see the NY Rangers last time and my daughter loved it…all the Razamataz!
So after we’ve been, the sporting events we’ll have been to together are these…NY Rangers, NY Yankees, Hamburg vs St Pauli, Newport County vs Coventry City.

if it is, highly recommend going to a nets game at the barclays centre in Brooklyn. I mean they kinda of suck right now but it’s a good time
