I suppose if Newcastle are down and out by January - which is possible - Ashley could recall him and bung him in the first team while selling off any players worth any money.

I think we have to look at a worse case scenario and expect that he may well be recalled. However, I'm pretty sure TM won't be caught out by this and is already looking around to replace him should it be necessary.
We have a good record of nurturing talent and bringing on strikers. Either way I am confident that we will be OK whatever happens, but I would like Armstrong to stay and if he does and we get promoted, we may be that championship club that gets to loan him at the start of next season.

I see the papers are all over it now saying it is likely he will be recalled.

As I said before, logic goes out of the the window and desperate situations can result in desperate measures.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if he is recalled. Would be a big blow to us for sure.

We have lots of attacking options, but Murphy's not an out and out striker, Tudgay's goal ratio isn't that great and in reality the only 2 real goal getters we have are Armstrong and Fortune. But then Fortune can be seen more of a goal provider than goal getter.

Would hurt us for sure.

Will be a big blow if he goes back, even bigger if he then just sits on the bench

top striker in all four divisions, if you are good enough you are old enough... its worrying!

with armstrong & kent only being signed up till jan, a lot will rest of them staying or not for us this season i think... yes TM will most likely have other irons in the fire, but he will be a bloody miracle worker if he is able to bring in players of the same quality, and even then they have to bed intoa team half way through a season & that could be hard.. fingers crossed for that extension!!

Going to be very, very hard to get a goalscorer of Armstrong's quality for sure.

Maybe we can nab a bread and butter goal poacher though. Armstrong is more of an all round striker, who can score from anywhere.

Maybe we can get a real goal poacher whose danger lies in the penalty box itself.

Does anyone know what the true meaning of 'Knobhead' is?

Then more I think about it, the more I think having a knob on your head would be really cool.

Could prove very popular with the ladies and could mean you could do 2 women at once.

Cool!!
Or one woman in two different orifices ;)

If I was Newcastle, I'd let AA stay at Coventry and in January go to a Championship club. Or they could wait till the end of the season when they themselves may well be a Championship club.
