so in terms of points required - we need of course to finish above 7th
in 30 years of EFL with 24 teams

15 years - anything over 70 points gets you into the play offs
17 years - 71
20 years - 72
29 years - 75
There is an outlier with Wolves once failing on 78 points

I expect there to be some very high totals, at the top, so I think 71 to 73 points should guarantee play offs as has been in the case between half and 2/3 of seasons previously

Looking further ahead if we are still in the hunt in April there’s two very spicy home games against Leeds and Ipswich.

Three draws two wins, but bet the actual sequence is not what you would expect. The only game we should probably assume we will lose from now on in is Southampton away. Everything else we should reckon we can get something from.

Millwall are bang in form . Norwich never easy away. Leicester look unbeatable and Sheff Wed picking up.
I see 3 points v Bristol.
I've been a Cov fan far too long

I think the top three will all end the season on a high points total, Ipswich will fall away but stay in the play offs. There is very little difference between the teams below, everyone will take points of each other. I don't think it will be a massively high total for the last 2 spots. If Sunderland get a striker in then that is one spot gone.

8/9 from the next 5. Anything more than that would be very impressive.

Can.t beleive the negative aspect on here after the last run of results. I see us getting 11. Somwhere is the result you least expect such as Sheff. Wed. They are all winable with the exception leicester being the toughest on paper. But at home with a full house think we can beat them.

Got Southampton away as well, tough month for the run in, but we’ve just gone through that only losing one in the reverse fixtures.

Why no draws 🤔 I’d much rather we achieved 9pts with 2 wins & 3 draws over 3 wins and 2 losses, of course it’s still 9pts either way you look at it, but being unbeaten would really build confidence and momentum.

I’m actually going for 11pts and moving into the top 6 in the process 😄

H, Leicester 2 - 2 1pts. Hard fought point
A ,Sheff Wed 0 - 2 3pts. Again.
H, Bristol City 3 - 1 3pts. Comfortablish home win.
A, Norwich 0 - 0 1pts. Local game for me & I can’t remember the last time I’ve had bragging rights over the natives 🙄
H, Millwall 5 - 1 3pts. Sooner or later we’ll put some poor team to the sword and I think we’ve got the measure of Millwall.

Get your money on it guys & gals, it’s almost guaranteed 😏

What is wrong with people , so much negativity and bad vibes .
5 games = 15points .
every game 3-1 win get your hard earned on it ££££

My head says 8 points

Leicester 0pts.....I'm hoping I'm wrong but 1-2
S Weds 1pts.....think with their improvement it'll be a tough game 1-1
Bristol 3pts.....owe them one after our inability to score in one of the most one sided halves of football this season! 3-1
Norwich 1pts.....just seem we never beat them 2-2
Millwall 3pts.....midday kick off....less millwall fans....poor game......but still win comfortably 2 nil

Draws are a killer...from this point on for me.

Happy to co solidate. 3 wins from next 5 would be massive. And keeps up right up there and not falling below 8th.

We will win at Norwich, I was there when Speedie did that chip! Doing the weekend for this one, lovely city and brilliant pubs.
