.......in terms of league games. They are:

Sheff United - Away
Yeovil - Home
Bury - Away
Crewe - Home

If we can avoid defeat on Friday night, we really need to follow it up with three wins (in very winnable matches). After the Crewe game in the league, we should have a much clearer picture - in terms of where we stand. alot of the teams around us will have caught up one or two more matches in hand, so if we can get 10 points out of them we arent going to have lost much, if any, ground.

What do we feel our chances are of making 10 points over this period? Like I say I would take a draw at Sheff United, but if we can win the next three. I feel all three are winnable - probably games we should win........I just still feel concerned about our consistancy.

I would be happy with a point at sheff utd, the other three are winnable. Yeovil wont be easy at home though..

Have a feeling we'll beat Sheff Utd and Yeovil, lose to Bury. Probably draw against Crewe because both teams will be sick of the sight of each other, can see it being a very drab game after the JPT games.

Time to make a proper assault on the play offs, lets go for 12 points

We have Swindon and Bournemouth the next 2 games after these so it is important we pick up points in these 4 fixtures

Don't think we've won more than 2 in a row in the league all season?

I tend to think you might be right ggrady. Im concerned about the Sheff United game - and I know if we lose that people will say we are out of it. but it will be important not to panic - we would follow that with three winnable games, and if we can win all three of those - nine points over the period wouldnt be a disaster.

with games against Bournemouth and Swindon after - it makes these four games even more important. If we could get 10 points from them - i think we could afford a draw against one of Swindon and Bournemouth, which would take a bit of pressure off those games. But the next four games will tell us alot.

At least tiredness won't be a deciding factor v Crewe.

No we haven't, everytime we have won 2 we have been presented with winnable fixtures and cocked it up

Scunthorpe H
Pompy H
Preston H
Shrewsbury H
Preston A

Failed to win all these games after winning back to back games, something we need to rectify. If we want to challenge for the play offs now is the time to make our push and string together a good number of wins in a row

All these games are winable. So with all things considered I reckon 7 points out of these fixtures

Would love to get 10 but reckon 7pts is more realistic. I think we need to strengthen our attacking options to stand a good chance of getting to the playoffs too.

We can score goals but we can't stop leaking them and poor goals too. We need to sort our defence I'd prefer

I agree on the striker front. I have confidence in Elliott, and Clarke is a goalscorer - but we will just need another option to mix things up at times. I know we prefer to play with 1 up front but say we get to a stage where we have a must win game. Surely we would look to play two up front then, and if that's the case whats our next option off the bench? ROD.

If we are going to make the playoffs its likely somewhere along the line a must win game will come up as well. I think we are pretty well covered everywhere else - just could do with one more option up front, someone who brings something a bit different.

ignore all previous results, concentrate on our strengths, & play to those strengths,
i'm sure MR will take it 1 game @ a time,
& refreshingly adjust the team / formation to suit both conditions & opposition,
after all that's what he can do best,
i think he needs the players to LISTEN to what he says

On the formation front, I think it might be worth a pop at sticking with L.Clarke on his own up front, but perhaps go with two attacking midfield players for him to link up with? At current we are playing two defensive players in Bailey and Jennings. I'd like to see Bailey remain central midfielder and have Sheff and either Fleck or Barton as the other CAM. Might open more options up, besides we know Barton can knock one in from range!

Regarding the next 4 games, I really think we step it up in the bigger games and a win at Sheff Utd is quite achievable, however like CCFC has said we haven't won more than 2 on the trot, and Yeovil at home will be a tough game. We could possibly draw that, 10 points overall I feel.

I agree next four are very important but the Sheffield game is extra difficult as its last game before the JPT and hope MR keeps them focused.
Be happy with a pint on Friday but thing the other three games are all winnable.

Bury - Away - Win
Crewe - Home - Win

really need to turn one of those draws itno a win tho

Reality is we just can't afford to drop points in these next 4 to make the play-offs - we've just dropped too many recently - HAS to be 10 points minimum to keep us in the running.. anything less and it's over for this season and then we are at the mercy of Fisher & Waggots book balancing agenda which is my biggest concern - if we don't make it up this year Robins is going to really struggle to get the cash out of them to build a promotion side for next season

It's all about Friday, nothing else matters at the moment but Sheffield utd. Win and we go 3 points off 3rd(okay teams play Saturday!) but lose and could be 7 off the play offs having played 2 more games. Doubt we come back from that.
Friday is massive

I think I'd still take a point on Friday. We are away at a good side, it will get a very tricky game out of the way and still keep us up there.

but this is my point - a draw on Friday is only really acceptable if we can follow it up in the next three very winnable games.

i'd prefer to beat sheffield utd as we would gain on them and keep their dodgy form going ... but yeah if we dont win then we would need to win the next 3 games
