AgreedWe don't currently look like a better team than the Birmingham team that was relegated imo.
My shortlist would be these 5:
Frank Lampard
Liam Rosenior
Luke Williams
John Eustace
Lee Carsley
Key word there is currently isn't itAgreed
It's a mad choice.Wouldn't want Lampard anywhere near our club.
Based on Wright and Simms' and BTA's goal stats last season, that Sheaf isn't quite back to his best yet and down to Robins being such a brilliant manager for us
I think we will be well clear of any trouble.
Suggestions are pointless tbh. There’s hundreds of potential managers, what matters most is who would want the job and the plan they would present to DK. We’re not gonna know either of those things. Why’s it pointless? People want Robins gone, I’m interested in suggestions
We will be if we carry on like this. The players don't look interested, and Robins has probably lost the dressing room. Added to our terrible defence and lack of leadership I think we're in massive trouble.
It doesn’t buy results either. Moyes is nothing special.Probably a bit silly for us just considering our wages for which a Moyes would demand. Think we’d be better looking for young managers coming up the leagues or abroad who can bring a tactical identity to the club.
Id look at Luke Williams, Henrik Rydstrom (might be a bit too far for us but was linked to a championship role), Michael Skubala or Ian Evatt.
They're not really things that can be turned around without fundamental changes. We will be if we carry on like this.
I don't believe we will and will change it round.
Lampard? Money to burn.My shortlist would be these 5:
Frank Lampard
Liam Rosenior
Luke Williams
John Eustace
Lee Carsley
Course they do. They wouldn’t be on the pitch otherwise. These blokes run their socks off. They don’t always run in the right direction…The players don't look interested, and Robins has probably lost the dressing room. Added to our terrible defence and lack of leadership I think we're in massive trouble.
He would be an outstanding manager at this level. West Ham fans hounded him out for a more attractive style and look how well they’re doing nowIt doesn’t buy results either. Moyes is nothing special.
He wouldn’t come to us so it’s a moot pointHe would be an outstanding manager at this level. West Ham fans hounded him out for a more attractive style and look how well they’re doing now
Not at all. He had a quick spell and cashed in on it at once. He isn’t a good manager at allanyone think Mick Beale could be a good appointment? Had a good spell at QPR
Well surely he’d get more points than 8 in 10Not at all. He had a quick spell and cashed in on it at once. He isn’t a good manager at all
Absolutely abysmalView attachment 38945
Based on our form since February, there is no way we survive as things stand.
Last season doesn’t count m8View attachment 38945

A decent midfielder in, in January, to fill the gap, could make a huge differenceThey're not really things that can be turned around without fundamental changes.
Only at Sunderland 5 minutes and they couldn't wait to go rid, he was cluelessanyone think Mick Beale could be a good appointment? Had a good spell at QPR
Sorry, I didn't mean to come across all cynical, I'm just not convinced that King would make such a statement with any sincerity, and that it wouldn't be followed in fairly short order by MR's departure.Ah, the old vote of confidence thing. We know what comes after that.
Your final point is spot on. Life doesn't follow a steady upwards trajectory; football's no different.

I’d like to think we are more patient as fansOnly at Sunderland 5 minutes and they couldn't wait to go rid, he was clueless

He was being sarcasticOf course it doesn't.
But, we've been shit since Feb. Simple as that. Nothing has changed.

Fuck me someones had their weetabix. You usually don’t spot sarcasmHe was being sarcastic
I hope we get relegated if you lot convince DK to pull the trigger.

His Sunderland record would suggest otherwise.Well surely he’d get more points than 8 in 10
it’s not ‘sentiment’ when the man has a track record of turning situations around.
what track record is that? show your workings please….
My god…
Well put it this way. The same argument was being had almost a year ago to the day, after another match at Preston funnily enough. Go check yourself if you like. Some of the views are almost identical to now- ran out of ideas, doesn’t get the best out of the players etc etc, the works. We finished 9th and got to the FA Cup Semi Final. So there’s one.
We could go back and look at how we started the season before that not too well & we ended up almost getting promoted, or further than that if you like.
the man has a track record of turning bad starts around, it’s not even really up for debate, it’s fact.
This season feels worse, something is just not right. But that history & demonstrable ability to recover from a bad start- for me- means that getting rid because apparently “Times Up” is not justified at this time.
