Kids accompanied by an adult for a quid and a flat rate for under 18's of a fiver.
This will encourage families. For example, 2 adults at full ticket value and three kids for seven pounds = 5 empty seat's filled + extra revenue from car parking etc.
A flat rate of a fiver will encourage groups of under 18's to go as I'd imagine most under 18's can afford a fiver from there pocket money and/or it's not such a huge amount that parents won't mind giving it as extra pocket money if it means that there kids are getting out their bedrooms and doing something other than sitting on their iPhone or iPad living a virtual world.
If we can't get some retail space at the Ricoh then please please get a mobile shop. If you're going to keep telling us it's all about the revenue at least try and make it look like you mean it.
What about a season ticket for £120 and then pay £5 on a match day
Well yep.
If they can't get the revenue they need from the Ricoh, then they have to get it elsewhere. Been mentioned many a time before. Open a supporters club, or a venue, that is Sky Blue themed and could be hired out for weddings and birthday parties etc.
As we are not getting a new stadium, we have to make this work. It's no use just saying it won't work. If it won't work as it is, then something else needs to be considered to bring revenue into the club.

And it's no use saying "it will work". You say the all-year-round revenue argument is rubbish but it's easy saying put on birthday parties, etc. Where? We don't have a venue. OK, hold it at the Ricoh. Guess who is going to want a cut of that?
Open a supporters club? Genius.
The point of the venue is its at the ground.
You say it's no point saying things won't work but likewise there is little point sticking your head in the sand and pretending there are viable alternatives to ground ownership.
Torch, I'm not sure you read my post at all. At no point have I said it will work. I have said we have to make it work. Not the same thing at all. I just think we need to try and anything and everything.
Also, at no point have I said the all year round argument is rubbish. I think you are confusing me with another poster, as I have never, ever said that.
You sure you replied to the correct poster here?
And it's alright laughing at a supporters club. We have to try something, or would you rather we just stay where we are and keep saying what we have won't work, without ever trying anything else. These suggestions might be just a drop in the ocean, but we need to start somewhere.
How about selling seats from back to front, so we don't end up with pockets of empty seats.
Close telegraph stand
Bring away fans and home fans closer together
No, not got youconfused. You've said you want to stay at the Ricoh. All we'll ever do at the Ricoh is survive, we won't thrive. Wasps have said they won't sell us any of ACL or - thank the Lord - buy us, so at the Ricoh the future is bleak.
I totally agree with the Supporters Club, great idea, but Supporters Clubs generally tend to be at the ground, don't they? We haven't got one. Even if we did buy a pub in the centre of the city and call it Coventry City Supporters Club Bar and Grill. Hardly anyone would go; NoPM, Cayman Islands, SISU, blah blah blah.
Nothing will happen whilst we are at the Ricoh. The best I think we can hope for is Mowbray stays and we manage to get some quick promotions.
And, I've always said, even if SISU left tomorrow I still think a new owner would look into a new stadium. Even Richardson from Wasps said a club needs it's own venue and year round revenue to thrive. They've got all the pie, we've got an empty plate.
Yes I think you can still text for a 6" Italian Melt.
Yes, I have said I want to stay in the Ricoh. Will never ever deny that. I think it's a great stadium and most importantly, is in Coventry. That is obviously a massively important point.
You have me confused though, Torch, because I have never said the all year round revenue requirement is rubbish. I just haven't said that.
All I am saying is that I think we all pretty much agree Sisu will not build a new stadium. Therefore all we have is the Ricoh. That's it, nowt else. We therefore have to make it work, or at least do something to make the situation more palatable.
Things you would change or add for the club next season.
1) Close the telegraph stand and open blocks 15-24. Move the JSB area to block 23. That number blocks in the tesco stand probably holds about 8000 or so, meaning it would be ample room for us.
2) Promote Block 15-16 as a more formal singing area. Cheapest tickets should be in them two blocks meaning they will be full every week. Also, a more attractive price for under 21s as that seems to be the block full (of youngsters) during cheap ticket offers.
3) Open up a shop in town with the Wasp, promoting tickets for both clubs(heard this is what both Wycombe and Wasps did previously). Aim To strike a deal with them which offers a discount on each others tickets.
4) Advertising and matchday ticket sales at Cov Station. A lot of people will travel from town next season on the trains. I think it would be a decent idea to make it easy for people to buy tickets before getting to the Ricoh. Not only this, but you may attract a few to go to the game, knowing they could hop on a train and be at the Ricoh in 5 minutes . Advertising fixtures at both Cov and Nuneaton station could be a good idea.
5) Create truthful plan for the club to follow. Stop messing the fans about and get them back on your side. Either sort out a new stadium in the immediate future, or work with the Wasps to ensure both clubs get the best possible deals. Spend a reasonable amount of money to develop this squad and back Mowbray with his ideas.
I Sit in the Teleghraph Stand always have since first match (season ticket) if they close that I really wont go anymore. If they play good football the people will return. You might as well go to Northampton they have a ground with 3 sides if you like that.

This is a very interesting article about Wycombe Wanderers and Wasps relationship at Adams Park.

I know. I am pointing out (obviously not very well) that it's contradictory. Staying at the Ricoh will never give us the all year round revenue.
There's no way in the world you can "make" anything work.
And I tend to agree that SISU probably won't build a new stadium which is why I think our future looks very, very bleak. On the one hand the Ricoh is a nice stadium, on the other, we don't and won't get anything out of it. We don't benefit from it. It's not like we can say we fill the place every week, is it?
Build a new ground with only 2 stands and save Sisu millions that's what most of you would like you can sit all together then . I like the way the ground is now sit were you like Im also proud that we play in such a fantastic stadium. that most clubs would love to have. Play good football and you will have the ground full , ask Jimmy Hill if he could fill the stadium .
Completely disagree with this idea - further loss of identity, brand, etc
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - so please excuse any spelling or grammar errors
(6) Volunteer (if wasps allow) to trial safe standing
(7) Sell cheap club merchandise outside stadium (flags, shirts, scarves) and have one game where every fan gets a free cov scarf like Bristol city did. Or just for St holders.
(8) Make pitch bigger so fans are closer to the game.

Invest in Tony Mowbray and the team and there will be no need to close any corners
