Normally our signings are so under the radar. Had all this come out just because of Panda posting on here?
This kid has scored goals in the past, unlike Chaplin. Are we going to overhype this kid like we did with Chaplin?
Only if it takes ages to get himThis kid has scored goals in the past, unlike Chaplin.
Not debating your intel Panda but you say "it was actually agreed" but surely Lamouchi taking him on pre-season tour proves that it wasn't. Is it a case of, a deal was agreed with O'Neill but now Lamouchi has come in he wants to have a look at him. Realistically if you were a manager you'd want to completely vet your squad before considering sending out anyone on loan or letting go of players on a permanent basis so that makes sense.
As a result, I'm guessing the loan deal is still on the table, it's just a matter of Lamouchi being 100% sure that Walker isn't going to be in his plans next season?
I'm just going by what I was told. It was a definite whilst O'Neill was in charge but we'd only see it coming to fruition mid July.
The assumption I make from that is:
Okay you can have Tyler for the summer, but he's been out on loan for a whole season already. We want to take some time with him to touch base before he trains with you lot because he is still our player for two more years.
I don't get told of possible linked players, only players that are pretty much done.
Where does the permanent angle come from, exactly? I’ve read that if Chaplin (and Wilson) are sold, it could fund a permanent BID from CCFC, but it doesn’t mean NForest would sell. On the other hand, anything is on the table with a new manager until he decided it’s not, so maybe their manager is still open to selling.I mean he's their player so I suppose that's fair enough if they want to have him for the majority of July to touch base. Like I said, Lamouchi is undoubtably going to want to have a look at him considering how well he performed last season for Mansfield. Managers like to make up their own minds on players rather having their minds made up for them.
Just throwing a bit of speculation out there but has Lamouchi perhaps hinted that he'd be willing to let Walker go out permanently rather than loan? Seems this 'permanent' angle has sprung out of nowhere. Or is it a case of both fans and journalists trying to put 2 and 2 together and coming out with 5?

That's an extremely positive spin on Chaplin's stats. Most of his appearances were off the bench. Overall he averaged about 1 in 4 and I recall the general consensus from Pompey fans was that he was better as an impact sub as he'd been poor when he had started.Walker scored 22 from 43 starts in L2 last season.
Before we signed him Chaplin had scored 22 in 31 starts, 5 of those goals in L1.

Hmmm. “Starts”
Wiki showing he scored 25 in 122 games at Pompey. 1 in every 5 appearances
I beleive soIs this the wonder kid who was called up by Wales?

Think I read somewhere that Forest have 35 players on their books right now, with Lamouchi wanting more of his own. So it could be a case of Forest shipping out players that have concrete interest in them now - rather than taking a risk and waiting for teams to become interested in others later in the window.I mean he's their player so I suppose that's fair enough if they want to have him for the majority of July to touch base. 5 goals in 33 far better options...I think we will end up with either Walker,Marquis or EavesAn unnamed club has made a bid for Morgan Ferrier at Walsall, Express & Star are saying we are rumoured to be interested:

Just read on their forum that he's a hugely disruptive influence in the dressing room. Doesn't seem like a player MR would go for attitude-wise so I'd be shocked if it was us that showed interest.
I don't think Wilson will leave Bournemouth unless it's a top 6 or 7 club. Anything else would be a sideways move really.
OuchEaves gone Dull City
