It was only two he wanted before. Now with Bayliss going it's gone up to 3.

What if he knew it was unlikely Bayliss would still be here? Then we would be back to requiring two surely.

A possible loan option - Ethan Hamilton on loan from Man United. Was on loan at Rochdale last year after Christmas and did very well and chipped in with a few goals.

I feel more reassured having read MR's comments about future incomings. Nicer when they're across the line, though.

Sounds like there was an agreement in place

There clearly wasn't, otherwise he'd have signed here. It is bollocks.

We've sold two young players who were our players and accruing value and are going to replace them with one permanent player and another couple of loans. This is going backwards, where are the foundations on which to try and progress?

I think at start of summer a lot of people realistically would have thought or expected Bayliss to go.

And if we get 2 loans and a permanent in, that would be 11 perm signings and 2 loans this window.

We’ve also lost loan players in Sterling and Thomas and gained Dabo and Jobello permanently. It’s swings and roundabouts.

Hmm. We got rid of Grimmer which cancels Dabo out technically.

All in all we're most certainly weaker with less known quality.

That's alright then, immediate replacement means an agreement with a player in principle. Not a vague target who others might covet.

We did have some kind of agreement with Walker, that's why I knew about it so early on. It just clearly wasn't a gentlemans agreement!

Don’t know whether to admire your unadulterated scepticism or be irritated by it.
It's called being a realist. Panda chats as much sense as that clown ccfc4life
