I read the first couple of pages of one book and knew immediately it wasn't for me in any shape or form.I would say they are well worth a read/look. It is a very clever series and it all starts off quite child like, with the kids being kids, but as they grow older the series becomes darker and darker.
That's the whole point.I read the first couple of pages of one book and knew immediately it wasn't for me in any shape or form.
I don't even like the look of Harry Potter. He looks like a twerp.
On the subject of books. I've never read Harry Potter or seen any of the films. But admire JK Rowling as a writer, I've read articles about her life etc, and she worked hard for her success it wasn't handed to her on a plate. I love Charles Dickens to me he was a literary genius, but he's not to everyone's taste, but to me he's our greatest ever writer. That's the whole point.
Even I'm a better writer than him !Better even than David Walliams?

Going back to my sister and her dislike of sport. I bet she was the only person in the country who never watched the London Olympics. To me it was awesome and I watched it daily, I loved it all. She just couldn't be bothered she said. I said that was weird, but she laughed it off. The closing ceremony was also brilliant !

So glad I am not alone when it comes to being completely uninterested in cars.
Also on my list would be:
Women’s football
food and drink. As long as it is reasonably healthy why go on about it and pay stupid amounts of money for wine that tastes just like any other wine or basic foods cooked in a slightly different way but in a smaller portion. Don’t understand why some food and drink needs to be discussed in so much detail. Presentation is not necessary to have a great tasting meal.
Cricket and Rugby
Motorbikes
Glastonbury
Travelling the world on the cheap like some young new age hippy.
Getting so drunk I’m ill for days, out of pocket and can’t remember what I was doing. Not interested.
I could go on (and I do), but will save the rest for another time.
I agree with this except when GB do well - so every 4 years, I am an Expert in CurlingThe Olympic sports I have zero interest in:
Curling
Shooting
Archery
Anything on snow or skis (except bobsled)
Men's field hockey (I will watch women's)
Handball
Water Polo
Table Tennis
Also have no interest in opening or closing ceremonies or the carrying of torches.
I am not sure whether he will be gutted or not. Also have no interest in opening or closing ceremonies or the carrying of torches.
She wasn't the only one who wasn't bothered, BBR. I have no interest in the Olympics whatsoever and couldn't wait until it's all over. Same as the London Marathon. Why run around London getting absolutely knackered? If you want to see the sights, hop on a bus!Going back to my sister and her dislike of sport. The bandwagoning is incredible. Puts our Wembley day trippers to shame.Cricket, nothing more cringeworthy than people who have absolutely no interest in it either jumping on the bandwagon. They will forget all about it in a couple of weeks when there is something else for them to jump on.
Been talking on the phone earlier to my sister. I mentioned the great win in the cricket to her, and how exciting it was etc.She wasn't the only one who wasn't bothered, BBR. She said her husband watched it all. I asked her what did she do while it was on then as I knew she would hate it ? She took their dog out for a long walk, met her mate for a pub lunch, and came back and caught up with soap operas that she'd missed. She didn't even bother to ask her husband who'd won the match. So while the country went cricket mad for the day she happily went about Sunday in complete ignorance. I admire her stance as at least she's consistent !
I don't like cricket to watch Nick but it's great to play as are most sports. But yesterday I was determined to watch it as it was a final, with England in it. It was Brilliant and what an ending. Cricket was my dad's favourite sport to watch and he played at a decent level, and he'd have loved yesterday. You're right I and others will forget about it soon, but what a sporting spectacular it was, even a non cricket fan like myself enjoyed it !I had no interest in it either to be honest.
I misread this, and thought you had no interest whatsoever in your two daughters!I have absolutely no interest in anything Harry Potter.
Neither do my two daughters.
Neither they nor I have read any book or seen any film.
Was Tim Henman in the final ?I watched the men's tennis final from Wimbledon. Far better than that cricket thing.
Yep. He was there talking to Sue Barker! Was Tim Henman in the final ?
Personal choice of course, but if you find a game you like, can be great fun. Playing solo, you're entertaining yourself. Playing on line, you're socialising with friends. All from the comfort of your chair, no inconvenience or annoyance to anyone else. It's a passtime and shouldn't be taken seriously, though a few nut jobs obviously do!Gaming. Never understood the attraction, especially amongst supposed grown-ups, and get quite irate when people suggest that "e-sports" should be in the Olympics.

And i could put betting too, but i actively despise that, and campaign against it, so I can't say that i couldn't care less about it - but for the opposite reason.
I've had little interest in tennis since power took over from skill.I watched the men's tennis final from Wimbledon. Far better than that cricket thing.
Cricket is great to watch so long as you only watch the highlights.I don't like cricket to watch Nick but it's great to play as are most sports. <snip>
Of course! It's kind of a bizarre question given that I have said i have "no interest whatsoever" in just ONE entertainment medium. It's like asking the many people on here who have said that they aren't remotely interested in cricket (for example) "Do you understand the attraction of any sporting event?"Do you understand the attraction of any entertainment media?
Social Media.
I have Facebook but that is it. I nevet update my status and only use it now for following articles.
Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat etc... All incredibly poisonous if used in very large doses and is definitely the causing a rise in mental health issues (awareness and knowledge has increased too but it seems to be every other person that is suffering)
If you want to talk to me then take my number and call/text/WhatsApp etc...

My girlfriend was complaining recently about how great her friends lives were. She said anytime she sees them on instagram or Facebook they're having a great time and look amazing.
I said to her that no one ever posts on instagram that they're at work or at home watching Emmerdale. It's always at a party or on holiday and the photo is the best of a hundred and it has filters on it.
I told her to look at her own timeline and it looked like she was living a jet set party lifestyle too but she's not.
It's a vacuum of narcissism that's ultimately very toxic and unfulfilling.
I don't think there's enough honest ones:
"Just got to work but I am having a shit and then making a coffee to pass some time"
