Robins is very good at being deliberately obtuse. One more reason why our owners like himI think Robins was being deliberately obtuse in the interview. He alluded to having spent the budget and not bringing anyone else in but then in almost the same breath said that he would love to do more business and 2 players may be leaving the club which would free up funds. I believe he also said that the sale of Bayliss had more than freed up enough funds to sign Godden. I suspect the budget may have been a bit fluid this window anyway as it was reasonable to expect both Madison and Wilson to move on, neither of which happened in the end so earlier comments he made about wanting x amount of players were probably contingent on those sell-on clauses coming in
