On a semi-related note, does anyone know who our scouts are that watch opposition and feed back to plan for next game? Anyone well known? Assume it used to be Thorn, but he obviously can't do it now if game same day as us.
Whatever AT would have done would be wrong if we lose and right if we win
Norwood has tweeted about being back at training today after couple of days off. Is that the right thing to do? Two whole days off building up to huge game? Know they're apparently knackered, but...
I'm inclined to agree with Nick. There are a million things they can do apart from physical training which they do every week. A day off is one thing but two? Jeez is there any sense of urgency and being in the moment? I don't want to get at AT but after recent comments of " we go again" and the like i wonder if he has realised that time is running out and he needs to work his miracle not rest on his laurels like he had another 42 games left........
Asute I don't deliberately have a go at Thorn at all. I have often been critical over time of his tactics and substitutions as I would of any manager. Here once again I disagree with his philosophy about training and two days off at a crucial time. Even this mornings BBC interview he has spoken about 'another run'. I think it's a bit late for that! We need wins nothing else will secure our status. You don't go on 'runs' with 4 games to go...
As a former P.T.I. in the Royal Air Force (back in the day - long ago) I know a thing or two about training methods and fitness both physical and mental. I also mentioned way back Harrison's influence was a factor for me as I saw his contributions and methods both pre-season and a couple of times since and I wouldn't have him along side me.
Just my opinion of course.
