Sunderland are close to signing Caen's other forward, Mendy. Looks like we've got the better one and much younger.
Their forum is absolutely mental. Just went over to have a look at what they were saying about Jack Clarke potentially going to Ipswich and their thread about this guy from Caen is over 500 pages long. They were only first linked with him bloody July 😂

Fair play to them, clearly very passionate about football but christ, there really must be absolutely nothing to do up there.

He's one for the development squad. Clearly a replacement for Tavares and/or Obikwu.

No issue with this at all from me, as neither look likely to break into the first team any time soon.

According to the report…

It has been suggested that the Sky Blues are paying between €2.5m to €3m to the French side and Caen have also added a sell-on clause into the deal.

And why wouldn't they ?
He's a player that's come through their ranks .
When we sell him for 50million to Man City in 3 years we will happily give them 5 million 😀

left footed forward who can play on the wing, clearly the backup to tats we didn’t have if we are sticking with inverted wingers. I noticed how much EMC was tucking in on Friday night when he came on and Robins had to tell him a couple of times to keep the width

Why have we bought another striker when we have a couple of good young strikers in U-21 .We need strength in other positions and its hardly like his record is out of this world, bit of a strange one this.

Oh no we're looking at records again!
For 19 he looks pretty fucking good to me.

Why look deeper when you can just rate every player in the world based on generic appearance/goals stats.

Not really bothered about his record to date just seems alot of money for a young player when untested in Championship when we are looking for promotion. I will back him from day one I never right anyone off,and more the fact we need a CM as we are weak in that crucial position.

I love whenever we sign someone young there's always comments asking if it's for the u23s yeh we're defo in a position to shell out a couple of million for that and I'm sure a bloke playing regularly in the Belgian top flight last year would be delighted to come to Cov and play meaningless games in front of no one.
