Called up to replace lukaku for Belgium, must be highly thought of in Belgium

He’s got all the attributes to be a really good player for us, hopefully the new head coach help him put all that together.

Odd one this. Never played for the u21s and tbh I would rather be got game time there. Bags of potential, time is on his side. Will be interesting to see what the new head coach makes of him.

The Belgium manager explained he didn’t want to disrupt the U21s preparation for their second leg play off (Tuesday) so called up a sub instead.

Bassette got 27 minutes in the first leg. Would be like England calling up Dane Scarlett!

New Manager is going to be key to how he progresses.

Lots of raw talent, pace to burn and clearly motivated. But he’s still young, inexperienced at this level and his personality needs managing in the right way.

Next coach is key to helping him pull it all together.

Bulk up a little, just like Gyokeres had done and we have a player on our hands. That raw pace and natural aggression is something you cannot teach. Potential animal.
Absolutely agree with this, he has that aggression, just needs the focus and the strength.

Vik had Viveash on his arse as well, though, telling him to ‘not be such a f-ing wimp’. 🤣

Superb news, until you hear that we now owe whoever it is we got him from some money now because he’s made his international debut.

There's some similarities, especially attitude, but I don't think he's like for like with Vik. I think he has more similarities in attributes (attitude as well) with Vardy.

If he goes on to be half as good as either though, then we're laughing.

A full international with one minute of playing time, sounds like a quiz question.

Let's hope he gets more international involvement as it could be an expensive one minute if it has triggered another transfer payment
