It's not though, because was the loan given by CCC to ACL to improve there Stadia or Facilities? No. It was used to pay off debt there's a difference.

FFS. SISU sought judicial review as they stated a local council had no business 'with the ownership and commercial operation of a local football club'.

They didn't stipulate paying off loans or building faculties. However, the NCC loan clearly and manifestly DOES pertain to the 'commercial operation of a local football club' and as such falls foul of the four corners of the JV that was lodged.

What is so hard to bloody understand?

Why would he call it a new stadium if it's a capacity increase. This has the nasty smell of Fisher and Seppala all over it. Good luck Northampton fans looks like you could be in deep shit too, or is that SISU.

To people only interested in the club the council loan is frustrating. When selling the land to Tescos at a huge profit we were told regulations prevented them from giving any share to the club.

They can however structure a loan to a supposed independent company that by the council leaders own admission was a bail out. It's not healthy practice.

that was specific to a grant they received wasn't it? the terms of that grant have probably expired by now so that won't have any bearing on what they do now. And wasn't that related to the freehold think ACL was created to get round those regulations, CCC retained 100% ownership as required but CCFC had 50% of the lease.

Healthy or not isn't so much the issue here. It's legality. Which was firmly established by last week's ruling.

The action bought by SISU, should you read the wording, would prevent that which NCC have just offered to NFC.

To complain about one and ignore the other is double standards. That's my point

We've been trying to get this expansion for years. The saints have also got a loan for the same thing from the same pot of money. Are you saying sisu are involved in that as well

Double standards may show in many business practices

A business claiming it has to put another in administration to stop a risk of liquidation and then agreeing to liquidate it.

A company suing another to try a d prevent a team playing in that town having previously attempted to lure another team from that town to play at their stadium.

They seem more examples of double standards.

All this endless bickering over SISU and ACL.
Blatantly obvious Sisu are bastards.
They're the ones who took the team out of Coventry.
Argue about points of law all you want. Grendel & Norman & a few others will do it forever.
The bottom line is Sisu are the evil bastards who have deprived thousands of Coventry fans of their team.

Thoughtful and well constructed argument - well done.

I assume you mean me?

If so, your continued baffling desire to categorise me with others, on threads I haven't posted in, shows more and more you were uber-PRO-SISU at some earlier date... and now have serious guilt pangs you wish to deflect elsewhere.

Actually, I am not sure he has double standards. All he ever does is spout poison and hate about everything. Can such consistent nastiness really be considered as double standards?
