Bassette rather than Simms; utterly mystified

Without Sakamoto in the way maybe MVE might put in some runs

I wonder if Frank regards this as a free hit. Likely to lose, might as well learn something

Exactly this, people will slate him, but how is he expected to get going. Despite the obvious Simms trolls, most on here can see that he did well at Cardiff and was the better of a bad bunch. Dropped after scoring against Watford, dropped after scoring and finally looking like he was getting going against Luton. Very much a confidence player, but gets dropped again.
Exactly

If attitude or following instructions is the problem then he shouldn’t be starting at all, it seems very odd to keep giving him one start where he does alright then immediately back to the bench.

I just hope that we don't get hammered and our supporters start getting on his back.

There will be more press with this team with BTA, Norm and Allen. We looked lacklustre against Cardiff on that front.

That line up would suggest that Frank is already as lost as MR was at the end. They both seem to have no real idea who the best players actually are and how they should start……not saying I or anyone else would either 🤷‍♂️

Ah yes, has this come from someone on here saying 'he just looks thick'. There's been no complaints about his training and he's not considered one of the bad eggs.

All this tells me is that the players we signed to play the system we want have not worked. Whether it’s lamps or MR we’ve changed system back and forth all season long.

I do but to be honest he’s really not shown the best side of himself when he’s been on. But then neither has anyone else in the squad really.
Exactly. Who does deserve to start really? How can he show the best of himself without having a run starting in the team.

Lampard can't win whatever he does with the players available. If he continues with the same side and we can't get a run going it's down to him. If he uses different players it's also down to him.

Frank Lampard has said he's going to give everyone an opportunity, well today's Judgement Day.

It’s Bassette rather than Sheaf as we’re away at a place where we’ll need players to cover lots of ground hassling and harrying. Step forward BTA and Bassette
