If Cov are like other clubs all players and staff are tested weekly. A friend who is a director of one of the smaller League 1 clubs tells me each test costs £200. They would test before signing I assume.

I know testing had cost the club £60k by the time the Bristol City game. By that point, there was no mandated testing per week etc.

Can we not just lock all the players down in a house Big Brother style and only let them out for games? Could sell PPV as well to make up for no crowds.

Reading their forum a bit, the general vibe is they don’t expect anything from today. They also don’t have any fit strikers and no confidence in their keeper (where have I heard that before)! I feel a bit more confident than I did yesterday. So, we’ll probably lose!

You would have thought they’d see us as cannon fodder so they mustn’t be that confident in their squad. Presumably their 2nd team cost more than our 1st (as they have players out on loan who cost more than any of our 1st team!). Let’s hope they’re right!

The few times I watched Norwich last season I noticed their style of play was get the full backs Aarons and Lewis up and they would constantly be vulnerable to counter attacks which is very much our play and I can see us using a 5-3-2 to help with that as we suck up the pressure and just bombard forward and rip their defense and maybe Walker will have a field day

I feel a bit more optimistic about today as a result of their injury list. However, they are effectively only 2 outfield players short of what they have had available for the last few games - albeit decent ones in Pukki and Buendia - the other 8 outfield players have helped get them to the top of the division. If we get anything today it will be a marvellous result.

This is the game I’m happy for us to play this current system and one we should be playing it in if it proves to keep them out will be happy days.

Heart says 0-1 head says 2-0 but I’ll take a boring 0-0 in this one.

Why does Wilson deserve a start?

Not sure about that.

For me I think it comes down to how long Camp has been training with us. If he has been with us for a week I think Camp will start. If he has only been here a day or two I think Wilson will get the start.

Can camp play it out with his feet? We really need a sweeper keeper like marosi

I really dont think that is a Marosi strength. On many occassions this season he has put the defence under pressure with some of his distribution.

Fans moan about players giving the ball away. But often the culprit is the pass they received.

Marosi does it v well imo. Alwaya gonna be errors from tine to time. But if it happened alot we would get hammered every week

Camp was ok in our 2 fa cup games vs Brum iirc. We really need to pick up few wins vs relegation rivals in this important period

It is most evident when teams have deployed a high press against us - and in those games we have really struggled. In fairness to Marosi in recent games he has mixed it up more. When teams high press they leave space behind so occassionally your first ball needs to go longer. You dont even have to win the ball - just be able to force the error from the opposition i.e throw in to us half way line.

Why?

I can give no credible reason. Camp has experience on his side I suppose. I just don’t believe Wilson would be as disastrous as I’m reading. Personal choice is the answer. Meh, I’ll lose no sleep whoever it is.

On youtube the Norwich manager rambles on for about half an hour. Makes it sound like their world has callapsed. You wouldn't think they were top of the league. Yep plenty of key players missing but hey their squad is virtually what they had in the premier league.
We should attack them from the get go and knock their confidence early.

Fortune will favour the brave today. This is a free hit so go 5-3-2 and cut out the penalties and zonal marking

Another clean sheet please! That has to be the goal more than anything else in this game. If it's a boring 0-0 I'll gladly take it, but considering they're missing so many players maybe we should try to nick it 1-0 - that would be fantastic.

Not the worst idea Shmeee.....

But a Sky Blues Talk Big Brother...combined with Googlebox for City games might be even better, given the usual hysterics on here out of a selected cast of 10, I'd predict at least 4 suicides and 2 murders by the end of the series.

Even better get Clive to do the voiceover.

"Today in the Sheffield Wednesday house, Fankaty Dabo is heading to the diary room." As Fadz walks into it.

I think today with the opposition and conditions it's more suited to making sure we clear our lines if necessary. Hence why I'd play Biamou up top.

I went to the League Cup tie at Carrow Road the season we went down to the fourth division. Robins took over at the end of that season. I think Norwich were promoted back to the PL.
We were soundly thumped 6-1 and it could have been more.
Its a testimony to what Robins has achieved that 4 years later we are playing them as league equals (I know that in terms of team, squad and club they are miles ahead of us). The fact we are in the same league as them and in with some chance of a result today shows what a good job he has done.

Optimistic we can get something from today as long as we don’t play with fear and play our game. I say the same thing every pre game but it’s true. If we are offensive and confident we’re a much better team than when we are over cautious and scared to move or receive the ball.

No doubt Norwich are one of the best teams in the league, even with the injuries so a draw would be a great result, but I think we have the ability to get a better result.

Camp should start, whether he knows our style or not he’s a better keeper, and it’s the one position on the pitch where if you make a mistake you’re almost always punished. So we can’t afford to take a risk. I wouldn’t feel too sorry for Wilson, I’m sure he knows he’s playing above his level and recognises Camp is a keeper with great pedigree.

It’s a shame Giles has to drop back to LB/WB, but hopefully he can still offer an outlet there and COH/Allen come in with a point to prove.

I remember back in the 80’s reading that Norwich were the club we were most similar too in terms of size (however you judge that). Fair to say that isn’t currently the case. But yes, great to back as peers with their ilk. SHFWR
