Agreed nothing like 2000. I've been in for a poker tournament with 500 and it's absolutely rammed. Most are also not dropping £50. Some of course will be and some excessively more, but most are for a couple of beers only.2000 people? we only average what 10 or 11 thousand thats a very high percentage going in. 23 times a year at 4 hours a piece 92 hours for an establishment that opens well over 6500 hours a year. It will be a tidy sum certainly to you and me but in the scheme of things to a Casino and after deducting costs and pay outs not as big as you suggest
Well I'm certain that's the outcome we're all looking for ….When SISU, Acquired the shares, Ranson promised that the club would be in a better place when SISU left than when thy came , if we no longer exist and with the liquidation that has already taken place , could the original shareholders NOT SUE SISU as this would not/is not to be the case
You'd be amazed by some individual comments on twitter in the pastI really don't think anyone sane has ever said that
This was based on so much extra to L1, Championship and Premiership. Unlikely to ever be realised and if it does then it's £100m minimum to finish bottom of the EPL. Only a fool would accept and they knew that. It's about as worthy as me writing to tell them I'll give them £20m if I win the Euromillions.
They offered more than the club was worth and world have put it in the ludicrous position of increasing indebtedness the more successful it was. When you look at what Wolves and Villa were sold for in a higher league than us, own their ground, own their training ground, own their academy etc then even at the minimum amount it was a decent offer. My only gripe with it was that there was the potential for SISU to continue earning after they sold. They offered more than the club was worth in reality and I think anyone would struggle to form an argument to prove otherwise. I’m sure someone will try though.
While attendances might indicate 10k members, CCFC means a more to the wider community. There are a lot of people who would come back if this mess is ever sorted out. There are are lot who would come back with another promotion or two. Think of the numbers who have been to Wembley, the turn out in the city centre last summer (was it 50k?) and the 250k who were there afte4 the Cup win. I think the club is a major part of the cultural life of the city to many people. I know whe next I bump into people one of the first topics of conversation will be “The City” because they know I go, even if they don’t. They are still interested.Wasps are a mobile rugby franchise, SISU a hedgefund responsible only to their investors and the fate of CCFC will decide very few votes in elections (and anyway SISU will be set up as being to blame). In the grand scheme of things we are a club (in the broadest sense) of about 10k members. Do not overstate our importance. This is a money negotiation pure and simple.
WASPS - in dodgy financial territory, but would like the rent
SISU - playing a game of chicken with the others, but CCFC serves a purpose
CCC - just want the problem to go away - it is not core to their existence. Wants the other two to agree
All of the parties want CCFC to continue at the Ricoh, but all have "walk away" positions. Whether you like it or not.

I work in Birmingham and I always get asked how Coventry got on at the weekend. We’re a bigger deal than the council give us credit for. While attendances might indicate 10k members, CCFC means a more to the wider community. It's not really intervention
Will they have a reputation issue? We could be part of a money making portfolio.Nobody wins if we go under, simple statement of course but Sisu will have a reputation problem big time in their field - always known as the company that lost lots of court cases and took a famous football club under. Wasps will face the backlash of being the business who helped close down the entity for which the building was built for and again will always have that stigma over them and the council face a political backlash the likes of which I suspect they can't even begin to imagine. So they will find a deal in my opinion.
Wasps have to move their stance but that would be made simple overnight if this continued and fruitless court action was to be dropped. The council also have a huge part to play to continue to ensure Wasps and Sisu no longer play russian roulette with the club.

IMO it's actually got to the point where for many of those who find themselves under the Wasps/Council banner/s would rather the club go under if it meant they were rid of SISU. Sentimentality associated with the club and the city got thrown out of the window years ago.
Which gives sisu a hell of a case to say they’ve been forced out of business.
It really fucking doesn’t.
They’d be laughed out of any court if they tried to claim that.
Exclusive footage of the Sisu opening statement:
telegraph
A source close to the Gary Hoffman-led consortium, who does not want to be named but the Telegraph understands has been involved from the beginning, claims a formal offer has been put to Sisu boss Joy Seppala – an improvement of £5m on the previous bid – which, he says, would rise to in excess of £20m subject to various add-ons.

It is pretty blatant that it is Wasps etc distressing CCFC to try and force the club to be handed over to Hoffman.
As I said, another Haskell situation. If it doesn't work, let's see if people are as bothered about CCFC being distressed like they were ACL.
It's why CJ said that talks had to be strictly private, shitting themselves that legal action would be coming their way
Such bullshit.
“Oh only people who think like meeee really care for the club”
Piss off you dick.
That's ok then. Club shows an email from Dave Boddy to Joy asking for legal action to be ended and the council and Wasps get round the table.Council response:
A joint statement from Leader of Coventry City Council Councillor George Duggins and Coun Allan Andrews, acting leader of the opposition Conservative group, says: “Coventry City Council has been clear in its message for more than two years now – we are willing to talk to the football club once the legal process has ended.
“The football club keeps saying it wants to meet with us but what would the purpose of the meeting be?
“If it is to come and tell us what the football club means to the people of this city then we are already well aware of that.
“If it is to say that they do not have the power to stop the legal process then what is the point of the meeting?
“What is noticeable from the football club’s statement following the EFL’s announcement today is the complete lack of any mention of their owners or their role in this.
“The club seems to think that everyone apart from SISU has a responsibility for the future of the football club yet we all know it has always been in their gift to end this.
“We suggest that rather than coming to meet us, the football club lobbies SISU to take responsibility and end this long and drawn out process so we can all move on.”
What are you babbling on about

I was expecting this one. The wider community are of no import at all to SISU and Wasps as they provide no revenue.. They might have an impact on CCC, but the Council have a scapegoat in SISU to blame. The wider community have no leverage and are not sitting at the table. If they attended games it might be differentWhile attendances might indicate 10k members, CCFC means a more to the wider community. You and your shitty divisive language.
Just because people aren’t frothing at the mouth about Ann Fucking Lucas doesn’t mean they don’t care about the club.
They just see things differently to you.
The people who don’t care about the club aren’t in this fight. They’re off shopping and watching TV.
Alternatively, if the council think there is no chance of SISU winning then why not let the legal process take its course.Council response:
