O'Hare though is a fantastic player that just needs some composure and maybe a bit of luck to get a goal.

That's not his entire game though, his movement is excellent, as is his closing and what he does is create pockets all around the opposition backline for other players to do things.

This feels one of the most depressing threads i have seen on here. O'Hare is a great player for us and crazy after a night when he has one poor performance some people criticise him so much.

He is a marked player at this level and we always look such an unimaginative team when he isn't there. Allen and Waghorn don't have anywhere near his ability. The guy has worked so hard for the team and he deserves our full support.

I still listen and think it's good but the episode last week was genuinely baffling. They spent the first 10 minutes moaning about fans singing 'Stand up if you love City' and a fan trying to sing in the telegraph stand. They said fans should remember that the telegraph stand is now the family stand (since when?).

I used to think Knowl was good back when we were actually shite in League 2 but he spent the promotion season hammering Godden and is now hammering O'Hare.

Apart from that’s not what they said at all is it. They were “moaning” at all of the fucking cretins who think they’re hard for starting fights at football matches (which is pathetic) and then one of them, I forget their names, was moaning because someone was turned away from the pitch trying to get everyone to stand up and then getting all aggy with people and saying “is this a library or what” when people wouldn’t play his little musical chairs game.

If you’re gonna get all annoyed when people just want to watch the football and not play musical chairs with you then fuck off to the renowned noisy side.

don’t think that’s particularly unreasonable

Nii has gone massively downhill ever since we started doing well. Feels like they can't help themselves from being as controversial as possible at times. I don't actually mind Knowl, because at least it feels like he's giving his genuine opinions on a players, no matter how miserable he might be, but Joey and a lot of the guests they have on honestly come across like they're trying to be contration for the sake of it. Had to unfollow the Twitter as well as it was nothing but Joey being a WUM.

Do we all hope he can add more end product, yes of course, particularly goals but he'll know that better than anyone.

His creation stats stack up pretty well (again consider majority of players in both of these lists are all set piece takers).

Point is, he's an incredible talent & we're lucky to have him.

Yes he has flaws to his game & they can be so frustrating, he is far from the complete package but he's still young & learning.

The goalscoring is partly poor technique which I'm sure he's working on, but also is clearly a confidence issue. As I said before, fans jumping on his back won't help. Let's appreciate what we have & hopefully he can continue his progression with us.

Really like COH but he looked a bit more jaded and erratic than usual in the game the other day. Lots of misplaced passes in the final third. I do think it’s a case of him needing a rest and I’d give Waghorn a couple of games there to see whether that option works - if it does then we may not need to look at a backup AM in the next transfer window.

But yes, O’Hare I see as more of a defensive 10 and he would usually be one of the first names on the team sheet. He barely missed a game in a condensed season last year and maybe he does need a couple of games out of the firing line.

I don't get the fans won't help by criticising. The same argument was used to defend Shipley for 2 years. If a player can't improve or play well because of the fans then are they really a top player?

Sometimes negative experiences with fans and undue criticism effects human football players negatively, yes.

They were absolutely spot on about the divs who caused trouble. Knowl was right about the toxic masculinity aspect and it's something that should be discussed further away from a football podcast.

However, moaning because someone is trying to sing songs at a football match is strange, especially in the telegraph stand. It's hardly like he's sat in the JSB blocks or the corporate side. I get people aren't all like those in Singers Corner, but being so wound up about people trying to get the atmosphere going is strange. It's no surprise the telegraph stand was so quiet despite being fairly full in that Derby game.

And they definitely did spend ages moaning about standing up. No one sings that song to prove they are a die hard supporter. It's a song to get behind the team.

If he scored goals we would have lost him by now .He brings so much else on the pitch be careful what yo wish for.

What's funny about the goal situation is that in his first appearances for us back in L1 he scored twice in relatively quick succession. He seemed to look a good finisher then!

Fabulous post. Unfortunately many fans aren’t ‘football fanatics’ and don’t take any notice of the overall game so don’t realise the work he gets through.

Your quote of us not being able to play the way we do without him is absolutely bang on. We will realise that more when he misses games this season.

If we accept the positivity the fans at the CBS have had on the the team's performance, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what getting on a player's back will do. That is why I loved it when the C O'H song started up after he had fluffed that shot in the first half against Swansea. If someone keeps hearing 'you're crap' all the time, I can't believe anyone thinks they will play as well as if they are being praised/supported.

I generally agree, and 90% of my head is with you. I really like Callum and the effort he puts in is really special. I want him to succeed very much.

That said, 10% of me acknowledges that he needs to contribute more and his end product is getting a bit embarrasing really. It's almost getting as bad as Ryan Kent in that sense.

I think the management should step in and take him out of the firing line. That could be just in the international break where he is given a few days off, or it could be to put him on the bench for a week or two.

That's just my view at least.

Ditto. Spot on. Listening to him on that chat with Matty Godden showed how he is just like an excited school boy who enjoys playing football. Not up himself at all.

We have not got an alternative at the moment to Ohare. Hamer cant play that far forward and cant take the ball like Ohare can on the half turn. Allen just has nowhere near as much ability and technique. Jodi i dont think will ever be a 10, much more of a winger. Also, with us playing 2 up front the number 10 has to work ridiculously hard offensively and defensively and defensively he is the best no. 10 in the league. I just wish that on the edge of the area he would have the confidence to shoot or take his man on rather than try intricate balls through to players when its crowded on the edge of the area as 9 times out of 10 it gets cut out.
