I’d give Allen a go in his position against Bristol City and play Hamer and Sheaf behind him.

Allen for OHare would be a mistake. Even a below par OHare is preferable to Allen who at this level is best used as a 70 min sub when necessary.

He’s had more shots without scoring than any other player in the division, pretty damning on the face of it but it shows he’s getting chances. Robins said he’s a good finisher just in his own head.

I'm an International Striker in my head though, to be fair.

I'm wondering if maybe for a while O'Hare could revert to the bench role he had when he first came to give him a bit of a rest but still have him available if need be? Let someone like Allen use his energy for the first half/60 mins and then let O'hare have a go at them with fresher legs and greater ability.

His best performances for us are still those he's made off the bench.

This a player that's given everything for this club over the last 2 years when he's on the pitch .

Wankers tbh

Horrendous.

We know his faults, we know what he brings to the team. He was our best player last year and over the course of this season he will be too

Predicted before the game that fans would be on the players' backs. Sad indictment of modern football fans unfortunately.

Lots of reasonable & considered debate on here which is great but there's others on here & particularly Twitter & Facebook etc that have no sense of perspective.

Ironically, some of the ones vilifying O'Hare will be the same ones sticking up for & drooling over Bright 🤷🏼‍♂️

One thing is for certain, destroying the lad won't help him at all

It’s not the players back I think people are expecting more from O’Hare as an attacking mid his assist and goals numbers are poor

Just disgraceful - same people who probably tossed themselves off over Dim Drunk Twat

Absolutely. He already looks totally devoid of confidence when presented with a shooting opportunity. He's not daft, players know their own records etc. Jumping all over him won't help.

That's different, that's what I mean by reasoned debate & should be welcomed. It's the Facebook & Twitter pile ons which aren't helpful imo.

Nobs. All clubs have them though, just had a peek on Sunderland’s board after their loss and predictably they’re calling for the manager again.

COH will probably have a good game Saturday and this thread will sit dormant until his next below par performance when we lose.

He's in the top 20 for shots in the championship? Jeez that is worrying. Was it Barnsley away if fell to him 8 yards out and he side footed it out to the corner flag.

He's an incredibly talented player, a crucial cog in our team...but it is a massive flaw that we've joked about, brushed under the carpet and now it's coming out in focus. And for me rightly so because now he's refusing to shoot out of fear, that's when it becomes a real issue

The Nii Lamptey lot, especially Knowl have been hammering him for weeks. I'm beginning to think he's desperate for O'Hare to fail.

Don’t often like your posts, but use of the phrase ‘tossed themselves off’ made me genuinely laugh.

O Hare is our star player. He’s head and shoulders above every other player - comparing him to Hamer and certainly Dabo is embarrassing. Without him this season we’d be nowhere near where we are. Yes gyokeres as well but he has to deliver consistently

If these two were not here we’d be in the bottom 6

If that’s true the guy is some idiot

O’Hare’s tenacity, workrate & sheer energy alone make him perhaps the only truly indispensable player we have

The fact he’s now being called into question just shows how far people have taken leave of their fucking senses

You cant go on forever with o’hare if he can’t put the thing in the net in the position he plays. I think I read his scoring rate is 2 in 60 odd games? That’s with respect to o’hare who is a technology gifted football not acceptable at this level.

Hate to say this as I really like o’hare as a footballer but don’t be surprised if next season Robins brings in some serious competition in that area that chips in 9-10 goals through a season.

It’s up to O’Hare, either find it in himself to start contributing more than just nice technical work with some goals or be a nearly man. I wish O’Hare well and hope he becomes the player we all know he can be.

Ah yes , the nii lamptey lot , they speak sense View attachment 22541

Knowl I assume is the same clueless prick who ran GMK - on the occasional time I posted on it I got into some curious argument as I rated Richard Keogh.

He accused me of being his boyfriend or wanting to be and he wasn’t likely to shag me

He and the other sad cretins on the site said it’s people like me that ruin SBT

I had to point out the spat with the sad useless prick generated more traction in one single thread than he’d Managed on his rubbish forum in the previous 10 years

Find someone who does what O'Hare does now AND scores those goals and we wouldn't be able to afford him.

Supposition. We can;;t know it's fear. If he was a bloke who feared stuff, he wouldn't play like he does as he accepts that the opposition will kick the sh*t out of him and never bottles it. Confidence, maybe, but not having the fear bit.

I don’t disagree - I’ve made the same points about the importance of O’Hare - so not too sure why you’ve quoted my post.

In fact the one you quoted was a compliment if anything.
