Put me on ignore if it bothers you that much
It doesn’t bother me. You make these grand statements without providing any evidence to back it up.

What are his deficiencies compared to every other centre forward that feature in match day squads to the rest of the top 12?

If a chance falls to anyone in the last minute Godden has the composure to tuck it away. He’s the one player you want those chances falling to. His penalty success his very high too, which is testament to his composure. His game does have weaknesses, I’m not oblivious to that but to suggest he wouldn’t get in a squad of 18 players for the 11 other teams that occupy the top 12 is laughable and just emphasises a clear lack of basic footballing knowledge

Correct me if I’m wrong but that was also said about Biamou by the same individual who called him the best athlete

He should try athletics his latest club don’t even pick him in their squad

He’s got no pace, no physical presence and has had a few of these poorer games masked by penalties.

a few have said it recently, he doesn’t offer enough when he’s not scoring. We were much much better and balanced when we had Gyokeres and Waghorn up top

I think we're a better team with those two up front, that doesn't mean your criticisms of Godden are valid, they're not.

The team probably does have more balance that way .. but I've NEVER known supporters ro moan about a striker who scored 8 in 15 Irrespective of how they are scored

His goal per minute ratio is third best in the whole league. What he lacks in burning pace he makes up for with intelligent movement. He has deficiencies yes but it’s the suggestion he wouldn’t get in other squads which is ludicrous

He’s scored 3 penalties which significantly skews the data

we've all got form for speaking nonsense, just some speak it more frequently than others!

Oh I know, but there’s ‘FFS Walker’ and there’s ‘Biamou is the best athlete and striker of a ball at the club’. On the flip side of that I’ve got a fair bit of respect for

Esoterica
Frostie
Evo
Ring of COV

The last one not for his footballing opinions but for deflecting comments on his identity better than the Prime Minister

Is he not limited then in his overall play at this level then in your opinion?

most players have limitations.
I'd say he's now our third choice striker, (that may not be the case, we'll see what happens when everyone's fit), last year our third choice was Max.
That's a huge fucking upgrade. His stats are speaking for themselves.

What are his limitations ? That he's only scoring 1 goal every 2 games ? A record he's had since he's been here basically

He lacks a bit of pace ? But he's scoring goals

It's on who scored opta stats .. he wins more headers per match .. see for yourself I literally just looked at them
It’s not on Opta. It’s interesting on who scored that Gyo has significantly greater dribbles per game, more key passes. It’s not wrong to assume that Goddens build up is a lot worse

gyo also takes a lot more of keepers kicks and long balls onto his chest. I’d be interested if that played into the stats

I know , but he also has 1 less goal than vik in 700 less minutes .. there's absolutely every chance godden outscores him from open play in the next 700 minutes ..
