John Fleck played at that level
Not being funny or anything Grendel but are you his Grandad or something? I love O'Hare but I can see why people are massively frustrated with him and I'm increasingly starting to agree with them. You will happily criticise pretty much every player in our team but you constantly bend over backwards to defend O'Hare, just seems a bit strange for you. And no, I don't want him dropped, but can understand the opinion of others because in front of goal he is frankly embarrassing.

Did I just seen Dabo at CDM get mentioned?!

The lad couldn't complete a pass at centre half, let alone in midfield!

I’d take any offer for him in January, cash in a small amount, and replace him. Make him another teams problem.

At the end of the day he simply doesn’t do enough in the final third. I genuinely hope he comes good and learns how to play a final ball or finish, but I just can’t see it.

Yes he's a massive problem for the team... 🙄

So, who would you get in on a free transfer to replace him?

😂😂

Let me guess, you'd send him on loan too?

The only way we should is if we have a replacement.

Granted, he pisses me off but you don't get rid unless there's somebody there to step in (or we have a ready made change of formation which I doubt).

No Premier League club would make a bid for him at the moment and we wouldn't sell to one of our competitors

He didn't, he didn't even break through until he was 17 and that was in be League 1. Given that he takes free kicks and corners you'd expect his goals and assists to be naturally better but O'Hare's assist record stands up well to Maddison at Championship level.

It's a farcical comparison in any case, remember Norwich paid a multi million pound fee for Maddison who is an exceptional talent, we got O'Hare on a free.

Not familiar with how those stats are presented, but if I've got it right they show that at Championship level Maddison scored or assisted every two games, whereas for O'Hare it's four and a half games. And Maddison has gone on to deliver similar results in the Prem - it's what you'd expect, given the outstanding ability he showed the moment he got in our first team.

They both have superb close control, and O'Hare easily wins on workrate and closing people down, but there is simply no comparison in speed of thought, or ability to pass and shoot.

I would still have O'Hare in the starting lineup every time, but we badly need a midfielder with a goal threat. Jodi is a very good player, and might just provide that.

Isn’t O’Hare’s best stat getting fouled ? I’m expecting a mass bidding war off all all these top clubs in January 😉

Is it not feasible at some point for MR to play both Jones and O'Hare behind a lone striker (Gyokeres preferably)? I think its a given that Jones would prove a more clininical finisher than O'Hare, but as others have pointed out the team would miss O'Hare's energy if he was missing. What O'Hare provides is a constant outlet for a pass, regardless of whether he is being marked, and the ability to take oppostion markers out of the game with his tight dribbling skills. He is also essential to our pressing game. His confidence in front of goal is clearly lacking at the moment, but hopefully he can get a couple of lucky breaks to build up his confidence and chip in with the goals his play warrants.

I haven't read the whole thread but I'm going to chip in anyway,
If Callum O'Hare is fit he starts. He far to important for us to leave out, goals or not. When opposition are putting two men on him it has to leave one of ours free. When he goes past people he's more often than not fouled winning us free kicks which again creates chances for others. He makes space for himself and others, runs and runs when other give up, closes down , and even if he's not having a good game opposition are always worried about him.
We all know he should score more, but so should the whole midfield , and I think this is just nit picking because he is such a good player, we want more from him.
KEEP GOING CALLUM .

Who has said top clubs will come in for him?
Almost everyone is saying the opposite, that it won't happen while his end product is poor. That doesn't mean he's not a very important performer for us.

You've had it in for him since he was in L1, since then he's played a major part in getting us promoted, surviving in our first season back and now pushing for the playoffs. Your dislike of him is really peculiar

In recent weeks his whole game has gone off the boil, hes even losing the ball and not winning the tackles he used to, theres alack of confidence there.

And not co incidence hes been substituted regularly recently where as that wouldnt have even been option to substitute him.

I would love to see Hamer in O’Hare’s role with Sheaf and Kelly behind. Just for a few games to see if it works.

Robins is extremely set in his ways though so it’ll never happen.
