I understand the economics and there was one Group I was keen to see at Red Rocks but 150 quid for not so great seats, well really?

I did see the great groups at their time and I forget how much a ticket cost but as I had little money it could not have been much.

Oasis well average, well if you liked them fair enough, but for this sort of money?

Artificially encouraged surge pricing* can also now be added to the prior ticketmaster/oasis mr meaners !

*by withholding additional dates

Tbh I totally get the excitement about Oasis reforming for people of a certain age/generation...I recall a lot of my younger work mates back in the 90's absolutely loving Oasis,I thought they were ok and knocked out some decent tunes but being older I could always tell what old song Noel had pinched his chord sequence from (he kind of admits that in fairness although he says it was subconsciously 😁).
I did get offered a ticket to see Oasis play at Knebworth but never took the offer up....my friends brother (who was also a mate tbh) had a popular Coventry band "Gdansk'"who I saw regularly years ago and they covered loads of Oasis stuff.
Did you know if there was somebody called Sean in that band?

Do they really expect anyone to believe that? Whoever actually wrote it could have at least attempted to make it sound vaguely like something they might say
It’s pretty obvious it’s what’s been planned all along, they’re drip releasing tour dates to ramp up demand and charge as much as possible.

Knew what they were doing didn't they

Not like a band like Oasis said "Ooh, let's see if these tickets sell out first, just in case they don't. We will only do extra dates if there is the demand."

They knew there was going to be the demand, so knew there would need these "added" dates.

Seems like a "planned all along" thing to me.

They could also have added the extra dates immediately while people were still queuing. Not like they wouldn't have all been booked in with the venues.

Seems to be the thing now to not do enough dates / venues to satisfy demand. Not just with huge shows like this, happens on much smaller tours. Much preferred it when artists would play more cities and big enough venues that it wasn't a mad scramble for tickets.

Article on BBC today where Ticketmaster are saying prices are nothing to do with them and are decided by promoters & artists. That's them clear then, well it would be if the company that owns Ticketmaster, Livenation, didn't have a controlling stake or own all the promoters involved. They also have their fingers in the pie of merchandise and own some venues. That said Oasis also have some say and are being disingenuous to claim that it's nothing to do with them.

The worst part is how much better we have it than they do in the US. Over there on top of everything else they control the own the radio stations as well!

Judging by the promo for the new Oasis/Noel Gallagher Man City clothing line the dynamic pricing fiasco isn't the worst thing they have done recently.

They're not called 'Ticketbastard', for nothing.

I know it isn't Oasis, but 'Linkin Park' had a comeback gig tonight. I put it in that specfic punctuation because it was absolutely shit. They have a woman vocalist who sounded like she was doing bar Karaoke, and the drummer isn't even in it because he wants nothing to do with it.

Of course the fan girls are going wild, but as a massive lover of the band it is absolutely shite. Should have just left it, or at best made a new band and put 'featuring members of Linkin Park'. Absolutely gash and an insult IMO.

Watched some of it and wasn't too impressed. Think they should have come back under a different name but obviously the danger with that is they don't go straight into playing arenas at expensive ticket prices.

The new single is OK. Interesting that they've gone back to their old school sound for that one as their more recent stuff has been very very different.

Some not great stuff coming out about her links to scientology and supporting Danny Masterson, who got 30 years to life for multiple rapes.

Not a fan but I can see why they did it. They aren't going to get a vocalist like Chester so no point trying. Go for something totally different.

Chester's a lovely town to be fair, not too many places can compete with that!!
To be honest I had no idea who their previous singer was and whether he was alive or dead. Wiki helped me out.

I was at Linkin Park's last ever gig with Chester. I will not be sullying that memory.

Who cares - Oasis are dead to me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Tbf, and I know people are gonna think im only saying this because I dont have a ticket

But i genuinely think it's going to be shit. They're being kept apart apart from the gigs and rehearsal.

Now a world tour, no way they last 6 months together doing that

The clientele will mainly be the Instagram generation there for the pics

Liams voice has turned into shite again after being peak form from 2017 - 2022
