Somewhere like Peterborough would be a good loan
I'd far rather we spent any money we have elsewhere on the squad preferably on someone who will start games. Realistically we aren't going to find anyone to play ahead of Simms and Wright. It’d be better for him and Tavares to go out on loan.
We desperately need to bring in at least one more striker if we’re to get promoted.
For some reason certain posters took against him before he'd even played for us. As a result they have constantly wanted him out despite his amazing scoring record based on minutes played and evidence like the Cup Semi Final when he looked every bit the part against Manchester United.I still don’t understand why everyone is saying Tavares out on loan. His contract expires at the end of next year so surely you either sell him for some amount of money or use him in the first team? Letting him go on loan just means we are losing him for a free and doesn’t do anything whatsoever to developing him as a Coventry player.

I think he was generally only brought on late.According to Wiki, he only got 3 goals in 16 games at Grimsby?
That doesnt seem right.
That’s all well and good until injuries play a part and we’re actually trying to get promoted. He’d do as 4th choice though for a season.I think we'd be better off sending Obikwu and Dausch on loan and having Tavares as the back up striker that gets 5 or 10 mins off the bench.
We saw what he did against Utd, there's clearly something there and he's presumably a better player right now than Obikwu or Dausch so let them go on loan to develop.

Although its only Trinidad, its still impressive he's got a couple of caps.Saw Obikwu playing a half for Trinidad online and although the quality of the game was low level he looked accomplished.
Was pretty good towards the end of the season. Am i completely sold on him? No... but imo he's worth keeping around and if we can improve him as we have shown we can do with many others, he may save us a few quid.I still don’t understand why everyone is saying Tavares out on loan. I expect he’ll be loaned out until Christmas if we bring in more strikers because they’ll want to see how he gets on playing regularly before offering him a new deal. For some reason certain posters took against him before he'd even played for us. I understand the logic of this however unless you can stipulate in the loan contract a minimum amount of games/ minutes played you have little control. Owen and Rooney were 16 when they first played in the Premiership. The only way you can see if someone can play that standard is to let them have a go. What may work would be each of them go out for half a season, 1 now the other Jan so they can be the 4th striker and get some real experience of Championship football. It’d be better for him and Tavares to go out on loan.

Well, unless we have a load of injuries (which could happen), would he already be 3rd striker behind simms? ie if Simms gets injured, Wright would go up top and EMC out wide?Third striker behind Simms and another sure, direct understudy to Simms is asking too much I think. Looks an exciting talent though. Hope he gets a decent loan and starts scoring in men’s football.
