Would assume they know if they don't go up Sawyer, Bradshaw & the young left back will be off in the summer so it's this season or bust as such.

And if they can get the new manager 'bounce' could get them into the top 2.

Their form along with Gillingham's has nearly been as bad as ours in the last 6 and even 10 games. The only 'bigger' team in our division that's been getting worse results are Posh.

The bounce did not happen when he went in there? Now he is sacked.

they will all be off in the summer anyway as I couldn't see Walsall paying them the money they can get off the better teams in the championship, team like Villa will need to bring in some players to get them back to the Prem and if I was buying for them I would look at those 3 plus Dack at Gillingham

And this is why some cov fans are happy when opposition managers leave their clubs. It can fuck them up!!!!! Walsall suffered without smith and Burton might fall out of autos too yet

Plz take note sickboy

Always liked O'driscoll and hopeful we got him a couple of years back. Wants to play the right way, similar to Mowbray but also unwilling to change.

Might just put a rocket up the arse of TM too which may not be a bad thing! Trouble is in recent times TM to me
just does not seem that bothered .......in sync with the on field team performances of late!

Man, if only... look at us since we went top at Gills...View attachment 5073
20 goals we've scored in 16 games and 11 of those have come in just 2 games.

That means just 9 goals scored in the other 14 games. That is pitiful.

Only thing that surprises me about that table is the fact that there is actually a team below us.

Any fan who says it's only a blip needs to take note of that. Pressley got the sack for less. That table is very disturbing

Did he ? Or was it 11 wins in his last 50 games or something along them lines that got him the chop , and we were destined for relegation , entirely different circumstances to a team who appear to be just completely bottling it

That is no blip. That is something known as a slidealarminglydownthetable.

If this continues this could be amongst the worse sequence of results for a long time.

If this carries on, even if we finish higher than we did last season, I can't see how that can possibly be described as progress.

This slide has to halt. We have been in the top 6, yes, but teams below have been getting closer and closer and now the inevitable has happened and we have been kicked out.

This is no blip. It's a disastrous sequence of events.

Otis , to sum up , the first bad run of mowbrays tenure should be met with dismissal ? , as what I have read from you lately , that seems to be your agenda .
If we finish 9th , it's progress , irrespective of your half hearted view about it , it's factually progress

I'm talking if this slump continues.

I have never said I want Mowbray sacked. I have no agenda.

At the moment it is 3 wins in 16. What if that becomes 7 or 8 defeats on the trot and then 3 wins in 20?

What then?

IF this slump continues to the end of the season. That is what I am talking about. If we finish 9th the slide would have desisted.

Not making the top 6 though would still be a failure, based on just how long we have been in the top 6 and how many points clear we were.

The last 16 games of Jimmy Hills first season 1961-62
4 wins
2 draws
9 defeats
Rome wasn't built in a day and other clichés

The difference is though, as I have been saying and others too, twice before TM has had sides in the play-offs only for slumps to leave them outside come the end of the season.

It is something TM has referred to himself. If it hadn't happened before I would be completely accommodating and agree with you.

JH was also in his first ever managerial position. Of course he was going to be given more time.

If we slide down the table this season that will be three times that has happened to Mowbray! From the play-offs to dropping out and twice, very alarmingly.

That should send massive alarm bells off for any City supporter.

That is parallel with Pressley form if it continues and let's be honest, mowbary has a better team and squad compared to Pressley and didn't have the Northampton farce to content with either

Well I don't think either you or I are in any position to predict the next 35 plus games to match Pressleys record , do you ?

I go by what I've seen and going on that, I don't see any improvement imminently. I'll be there Tuesday but more wishful of good performance rather than hopeful. If you think the recent 3 months have been a joy to watch then clearly you don't go

Good call that terry, they are the standout players in this league
