More possession + Same shots on goal + More corners = 3-1 loss

Lack of quality. Quality costs money, Bristol spent decent money we haven't....

The sooner reda Johnson is back the better ..we have looked shocking since his absence ..although we never look like scoring we desperately miss him in defence .. Webster looks a different player when reda is alongside him

We sent everybody up, hoping for the last bit of pressure and he spooned it and hit a grass cutter under no pressure. Left us out numbered and they scored.

watch it, you will be branded a bully buy the jordan clarke apologists.

Same shots on goal? Half of them were daisycutters from 25 yards.

at least he recognised barton played well

barton, fleck, obrien midfield be quite technical, but we need some physicality too

"I thought there wasn't much difference in the teams...". No, honestly, he did say that.

Losing 1-3 at home to Bristol City is a dreadful result. Bristol City!

If it was just a one-off, the sort of thing that could happen to any team, bad day at the office, everything going against us, it might nonetheless soon be forgotten. But that's five defeats in six now. Four ruined weekends and no sign of anything better.

Utterly fucked off with it and off for some Belgian beers.

It will be a competition to see who can make the most sideward and backward passes

People are saying we changed up the formation today but did we really? It was essentially the same but Coulibaly pushed up a bit more than Fleck, O'Brien and Thomas usually do. Either way it looked no better.

I was going to say a 2-1 defeat by the league leaders was an improvement over a 2-1 defeat to the bottom club but then they scored again and ruined my argument!

tbf to barton and obrien, if their was a pass on going fwds they would have attempted it.

barton would look and have to turn backwards, we dont bombforward or show for the ball at all

and we take 8 mins per throw in!

If Thomas had put the performance in that Barton did today the forum would be doing the usual in slating him.

Barton has zero work rate off the ball and never makes himself available. His professional career will end when this contract expires.

Yes, Bristol took all their set pieces quickly, we take an age to take a throw.

I love our new tactic though. Allowing the opposition to take unchallenged short corners is pure genius.

The plus sides were the goal which was lovely, and Ryan Haynes bending the rules of physics by reaching a cross with a diving header 2ft off the ground and clearing the bar by yards. Get the Higgs-Boson nerds over to study the replay of that.

God, that moment in the second half!

We might also adopt the Brizzie tactic of standing over the ball for an opp's free-kick - referee couldn't give a toss each time.

Moment? We actually did it twice. Twice allowed short corners without any intervention. School boy stuff and absolute basic requirement.

That chance of Haynes was our first real chance of the game. That was the 66th minute I believe.

There was that shot in the first half that forced a corner also, but that looked more like the keeper making a spoon of it than it being a real threatening effort.

It's kind of funny that almost everyone predicted a defeat, in many cases a hammering ... and yet everyone is so upset we lost.

The thrill of victory in getting a prediction right doesn't really outweigh the agony of defeat.

In my view it's disappointing because they didn't show that they were that much better than us, we again let ourselves down with bad passes in key areas. The amount of clear chances were low on either side, and we should have come away with a draw. Their second goal was so poor, we were just hoping half time would come and completely switched off.

There is losing and there is losing, go down fighting and fair enough.

Were Bristol that good that we should lose 3-1??
No fight, no bottle, no heart.
Fucking gutted that I have stooped that low as to find no positives, to argue that we should have got something out of this game.
