The coaching structure is going to remain the same the statement says … I wanted them all gone if we did it.

I'm gutted as he has done some great things with the club, but lets be honest - it wasn't a surprise.
Just go back and read match threads on this forum, and how many references are made to tactics being wrong, wrong substitution decisions, not changing things up when needed, questionable interview comments.

I really don't like to say it because we have had some amazing times under Robins, but it appears to me that we need someone on board who is more tactically switched on, and knows how to change games, get the most out of our squad in different scenarios, and motivate the team. It really feels as though he has taken us as far as he can.

All the best for the future, Mark!

The question now is who is the right person to take over?

Well they've not been performing have they? They also pushed for Viveash to go.

Robins has not made great decisions but he's been massively let down as well.

I think Viveash was dismissed for serious breaches of conduct and Robins agreed with the decision.

Fucking hell. Absolutely gutted.

I just pray that Doug doesn't get seduced by a 'name' like Lampard or Steven fucking Gerrard or some shit like that.

If that happens, the season is genuinely a total write off.

I hope there's some kind of plan going on here. I've seen us go for too many "names" over the years and it end in disaster.

The end if a very exciting and positive era for the club.
Feel its a mistake given all the behind the scenes changes and inevitable transition period.

You can't just remove the whole playing staff and replace it though. It's really not that surprising, You bring someone in to try and get a better tune out of them.. there are examples of this working and of course not working. Lets see what happens and hope we get it right.

Can’t see this ending well. The majority of fans didn’t want this. Going to be a hostile atmosphere unless the new manager gets off to a flier.

MR deserves a fucking statue

Can see another Eric Black/Peter Reid scenario where the fans just never took to Reid and it was doomed to failure.

So no manager in the future, we are having a Head Coach, and no rush to get one, as we will be having an Interim Head Coach. Think King is getting ahead of himself with the coaching structure, we're not in the Prem yet

No way…oh, that’s it, we’re truly screwed now.

Well done, our wonderful star players, well done - I hope you’re reading this:

YOU HAVE LET THIS MAN, THIS CLUB AND THE FANS DOWN. 👏

I hope you find your testicles, for whoever is unfortunate enough to get the job next.

He will probably be back again sometime in the future .

Is there much confidence that the heads involved will identify a head coach of any substance and, if they are under contract at another club, are they prepared to pay for the right candidate?

He deserves much much better than that. It’s also one sure fire way to guarantee we get nothing at Sunderland either.

The players should be ashamed for their role in this too, make no mistake. As for King, he doesn’t have the fans’ backing in doing this, not by a long shot, and he must get it right or reap the whirlwind.
