Playing like this no I don’t. I’ve also said the responsibility for it is shared between players, manager and owner.

Do feel free to point out where I called for the manager’s head though. I hold these players more responsible but they can’t be sacked.

that’s the point, you were saying give him more time, but at the same time he’s going to get us relegated. Bit strange.

Robins has been a true great for this club but as a tactician he has looked lost for months.

No firm commitment to what his strongest team is, baffling team selections and shape and utterly bereft of ideas during matches when things are going wrong.

An incredibly exciting and successful era under his management has ended but I do believe the time was right.

Attacking an ambitious owner who is prepared to invest is wrong and misguided at this stage.

I will judge him based on the success or failure of the new coach.

Maybe Robins wanted to leave and getting sacked got him a payout

That's the problem we don't know what was said behind closed doors.

Perhaps, just speculating, Mark Robins lost his temper with Doug King.

Thankfully after seeing the backlash all over social media , the robins out brigade were genuinley a minority and most of our support isn't morally bankrupt
Only 8.6% voted Robins out in the previous poll.l tbf. It was always a vocal minority and everyone I know is gutted he’s gone.

Robins kept the sisu model working. When robins decided to leave on his own accord we would be up shit creek as we were reliant on him.

Now at least we have a model that is sustainable wether you like it or not it's silly to say sisu days were better

Sustain what? No good sustaining being crap.

I don’t see how these things are mutually exclusive. I can think we’re on for a relegation battle while also supporting the manager to get us out of it.
I mean it doesn't matter, its not like anyone takes posts on this forum seriously. But there's a lot of fence straddlers in here.

Well anyway- people have got what they wanted, no doubt they’re happy now- we already see the laughing emojis- let’s just hope they were right and we now rocket up the table. This will leave a bit of a bitter taste for a long time.

I have always said Robins is a very odd manager in that he seems to work best under an unstable and difficult ownership base.

He seems better at motivating and galvanising players who are not established at the level they are used to operating in and a "all together mentality"

The players now have left. He clearly is struggling to galvanise the signings over the last two years. A lot has been spent on players who cannot even get in the team and very few will realise the purchase value at resale let alone make more to spend on new recruits.

Its pretty obvious he has run his course and the ideas are becoming less. I suspect he worked better with a lower league set up and cannot adjust to modern football models.

Timing is odd, statement not that respectful but such is football.

Completely agree with all of this. I think it's quite clear he can get lower calibre players playing above their level. But he is struggling with players who are apparently better than this level (if that make sense).

Obviously it doesn’t matter that much. Still it is a bit tiring to be misrepresented.

My view was always that MR was a factor in the bad performances, just not the biggest one.

I'm not a King fan but arguably if he hadn't come in we'd have sold Vik and Hamer in January of the PO final season to fund losses.

I’m convinced King had lined up to sack robins after the Luton game which we unexpectedly won
The timing is bizarre when we’d just won two games well. Would definitely suggest he’s been looking to do it for a while or that something happened last night that pushed it to breaking point.

You are being short sighted.

We have a talented young squad on the pitch and off it we hire analysists etc plus sorting training facilities out.

We're in a good position to kick on now and perhaps a new manager will get the best out of the squad this season let alone long term?

The club obviously monitors social media, and the constant shouty calls by a minority on here for Robins to go could easily have been misinterpreted as a groundswell of feeling among the fanbase.

Cheers guys.

Seriously? Or maybe the shite form over the last 20 games or so?

One thing I would add is things don’t have to be mutually exclusive and you’re either on the side of King or Robins.

It’s possible all you’ve written is true but also that King has made too many changes and pissed everyone off.

The squad will still have the same frailties I feel , it's more about personel than tactics for me .

We need some signings in January regardless

Two things will play out now which will be instructive. The job Robins goes to next and how we do under his replacement.

We do need some signings but for me it's also a tactical issue

Whilst I'm fully aware a new manager may do worse with same squad I am also v open to the idea that someone else comes in and does better than robins was with them

If you are reading this Doug and get your advice from us.

I think we should have a free SBT corporate area where we get unlimited beers, access to make substitutions and to spin on office chairs during the game.
And text a sub back for nick

Eh, i seem to get lumped in with people that are 'happy' about this. I'm definitely not happy, i want us to be good. Under Robins would have been nice, but i certainly wasn't happy with the shite i was watching either, it was actually quite depressing, not to be dramatic about football.

There are people out there who can get better from this group of players. Lets hope we find one.
