So the tactics were thrown out and everyone thought we would turn a corner and play football after a good performance at Burnley but to hear today how poor we were and yes unlucky at the death, why are we so unpredictable still?

Sounds like we could not pass and keep the ball like Tuesday? Did we simply catch Burnley off guard with the 4-3-3 and today Phil Brown had it worked out even with his poor side?

As I said before we need a manager sooner rather than later so he can bed in with the team in the remaining games and show intentions and reason for players to prove themselves to the new guy.
The current temporary situation does not bode well for a relegation fight!

I hope RR makes the right choice. I just hate the face that every season we seem to get in to a relegation battle! The joys of being a city fan..

We are in a mess now. If it wasn't for the shite below we would have been bottom months ago. I really cannot see where a good performance is going to come from now, as a club we seem to have nothing going for us anymore. Not happy...I thought last year was bad and still went out and purchased yet another ST.

The problem is Paxman II (AKA Paxman from GMK I assume) is that for me this is terrible timing to lose a manager let alone start looking for another. Even with a new manager I cannot see our players stepping up at the moment. The best we can hope for is that the teams below continue to lose whilst we count our lucky stars that we hit form at the start of the season....oh and GMK seems to be down again.

Get a new manager now. Be even harder getting a good manager once in the 1st div but if we get one now then even if we did go down at least he'd have a contract at least through out our first season down there.
Getting relegated could be a good idea though if we actually had a good season down there by winning most and getting promoted again, give us something to cheer about. However, even though that sounds 'nice' I still don't believe we'd get promoted once down there, it's not our style to actually do well at anything for more than a few games :(

Difficult one this, if you keep with Thorn he knows the team and how they operate so should be able to keep us afloat however if you bring in a new manager all players may up their game to impress. The fact is that something has to change, one win in 16 is just not exceptable and is relegation form, teams around us are picking up points and our points cushion is disappearing rapidly. I just cannot see where the next win is going to come from??

Yeah but no but, I just ont know any more seem to be in a no win situation, going down might be good playing wise but as has been said elsewere would we still have any finacial backing?

I sat in that stand today full of hope surely we couldnt loose to that shower, ha how wrong!!!!!

Well after Burnley you could be excused for seeing a ray of hope and a win coming...even the betting sites had us for a win today. I never thought it would be easy as preston have to get wins. TBF though it was a different game and opposition than Tuesday night and we lost to the last kick of the game. Had that not happened would it be fair to say we would be talking about a poorish performance but 2 draws away from home since sacking AB? It's a fine margin at times.

GMk has been in my blood for a number of years but currently it is making a mess of things and like you parsons nose i can't get on now either. Nice to see you over here!

It was the first time after a game I was speechless.. how the hell did we throw away the point, which I would have seen as a good result considering the overall performance... re GMK its down again, checking less often now, this site seems to be a good replacement, as long as the idiots keep away

I don't think Thorn can help us in anyway in our fight to stay up, apart from his lack of experience as a manager at this or any level. As a scout he is part responsible for the low standard of player we have in the squad today. But my biggest concern came after i heard his after match interview on cwr. When asked what he plans to do to turn it around, on at least 3 occasions he used the sentence " iv'e told the players if we keep doing the right thing, things will change"

This gives the players the impression that it aint all their fault " their doing the right thing " but they must be having bad luck, I want a manager that would ask the squad how they sleep at night taking there wages and turning out a days work and dross like that

It was the usual response from our supporters saying that Thorn is the man for the job after one draw!! Burnley are not world beaters so was not suprised by the result, we never do well against Preston at the best of times so again this was not a suprise. We are still conceding goals due to poor defensive errors but on the plus side a great finish by Bell.

I think we will stay up (just) but this could go down to the wire and i hope we do not have to hang on like we did the other season Leicester went down.

I personally think that Andy Thorn will not be in charge for the next game, if i remember rightly RR said, IF We win the next two games then we will stick with the caretaker manager! As we haven't won either RR must be working very hard in getting some one new in!

You can see why we are sturggerling though, the only team not to by ANY players in the second half of the season, seeing Preston with 3 players who caused us problems and even scored past us in Nathan Ellington, Ricardo Gardner and Eddie Johnson show what we are missing out on when it comes to freshing up the squad! Add to that the countless injuries and untimely suspensions then you can see why we are in a dog fight! I can only guess AB gambled to early, on in signing players and that budget has been used up?

What ever happens we need to get behind them, just like the traverling army did yesterday!

I was thinking yesterday how city fans got so chuffed over a 2-2 draw with Burnley. I couldn't have imagined that 15 years ago :(

... I don't think my heart could go through another "Stoke vs Leicester" game, that match was tough to watch !

RR may risk 1 more game-- with someone else pretty much lined up. Thorn seems to have got a bit more team spirit together which may be just enough. But it will go to the wire.
My guess is Thorn will go after 1 more game.. and we will scrape safety....

Seriously hoping it doesn't come down to the last day of the season as to whether we stay up or not but who knows at the minute?! :(
