I think if £6m fee is true that it'll be one we come to regret.
Got to be a permanent CB, surely? We only have two under veteran status, and is Rose in the last year of his contract?I'd go with an O'Hare replacement plus either a defender or young defensive midfielder (Kelly replacement).
I get the whole off the ball argument and agree he is one of the best for it but his actual attacking output is pretty poor

If it's true that we're just haggling over getting one payment rather than several then it's further evidence that Boddy isn't up to negotiating at this level. And that our owners either can't or won't put anything in except at Wonga levels of interest
I'd always preferred selling O'Hare... assuming we'd actually allow a fair proportion of any fee for a replacementHis final product, killer instinct, whatever, can sometimes infuriate me.
But if he’s sold and not adequately replaced, let’s all sit back and watch the goals dry up - which is why I still fully stand by the idea of preferring to sell Hamer.
Its unlikely we can push for anything and if we aren’t careful we will end up with a mcsheffrey debacle at the death selling a player for very little.
If we need to sell the longer we carry on the lower the price will be

Based on the debt Burnley have it might not be the best idea taking instalments. If they don't go back up they could easily implode in a couple of yearsIf it's true that we're just haggling over getting one payment rather than several then it's further evidence that Boddy isn't up to negotiating at this level. It has to be paid back over 10 years doesn’t it?Based on the debt Burnley have it might not be the best idea taking instalments. If they don't go back up they could easily implode in a couple of years

Shopping with his mum?He's gone

I have plenty of whistles left sorry no pigs.Or the fun part where we riot and @letsallsingtogether gets the whistles and pigs out.
Fulham maybe, Brentford and Brighton I don’t see being interestedI have a feeling that we may have the last laugh on Burnley.
For MR to publicly respond to Kompany comments isn't the norm. I think we may be riding Burnley to set the market, the lad is probably eying a PL move, so we have a Fulham/Brentford/Brighton type side on the other line who will have a bid accepted at a shade above Burnley's final offer.
That is of course if someone, who heard from a mate, who talked to Overson, who would have heard from.......hasn't got a bit of Chinese whispers about it ?!
Sort of thing that makes a manager walk and its not even the fee .. the no reinvestment part as clearly then we have no model its no different to Brian Richardson apart from the fact that Richardson actually purchased some players before fleecing us
8 goals and 16 assists in 91 championship games is not really that impressiveIt really isn't

We couldn't have had Twine for nothing. His fee went to a tribunal as he was under 24 and MK Dons paid £300k plus 20% sell on clause. When are we going to be the team with decent invested owners that want to progress the club?
Burnley are going to have O’Hare and Twine in their squad having shelled out £10m for them.
We could have had Twine last season for nothing and were clearly interested but we couldn’t stretch the budget so we ended up with Bright.
Niw we’re looking like losing O’Hare for a paltry fee threat won’t be reinvested anyway.
It’s all so disheartening.
That makes the point even more though. We couldn’t afford £300k for an obviously quality player that the management were interested in so we got a waster and end up left behind. We couldn't have had Twine for nothing. What???When are we going to be the team with decent invested owners that want to progress the club?
