I coach junior football.
The amount of young kids wearing Cov kits is quite amazing, we are definitely on the up.
Yes the sessions are littered with Liverpool, Man United etc but nowhere near the numbers they used to be.

I’m one of those scumbag glory fan city fans who basically live on a different continent, in Stratford, and can safely say, the amount of city shirts I see now (both adults but predominantly kids) is genuinely 50x what it was a decade ago. I used to run in a city shirt and genuinely go a year without seeing another. Nowadays, I see dads, sons and daughters alike every weekend. It’s fantastic.

City centre today had city shirts all over the place. Hope they wash them over night if there planning wearing tomorrow!

Nice to see the new city shop busy today… must have taken some cash.

shame the training stocks not available.

That's bizarre. Lived here most of my life and I don't know any United or Liverpool fans, although I tend to stay off facebook.

A few years ago I was on the road a lot with my job. The Coventry office was full of Cov fans, plus a few randoms, one or two Leeds fans actually. The other offices in Preston and Doncaster, not a single PNE or Rovers fans to be found, it was weird.
I work with the biggest Liverpool supporter in the world who has seen every game and purchased every shirt Liverpool fc have manufactured, and I must confess wept after their first premiership title in thirty years, but sadly he has never got off his fat arse to ever walk into anfield once in his 45 years on this planet.

He even uses the word ’we’ when he talks about Liverpool!

How does that work?

It's true mate. I moved away from Coventry when I was 10. Of all the people I know on Facebook from Cov, I'm the only City fan. Mix of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and United fans.

Genuinely wasn't the case in my experience, at my school (Wiseman) I'd say 90%+ supported Cov

Ok slipped to 11th apparently, I wasn't aware

We used to be 8th biggest in England before we lost a lot of our industrial base. Take out Glasgow and Edinburgh (which are in Scotland), we are ninth according to this list. Used to always be bigger than Leicester which surprised me regarding the figures here. Leicester has an almost identical profile of ABCs etc to Coventry so our gates should be the same if we had their recent level of success. We have a big catchment of satellite towns but so do Leicester and Nottingham. Our potential is good but will only be realised with success.

Same with me at my school but this issue is with their loyalty.

We have a huge amount who consider themselves Cov fans. Most wear the shirts and go Wembley.

The issue is, too many don't bother going to the home matches enough.

Ok, well I think it’s safe to say that a move to Burnley is probably on for O’Hare.

Reading between the lines, naturally.

I dunno, it seems a little strange to me; is it not wishful thinking that he’s genuinely injured and not finalising a possible move?
