As hard as it is, it's not impossible. Does money always win? Most times, but not always.

My posts aren't a defence of the 'boardroom'.

They're a show in faith in the management team who normally have things covered. Will they get it right...maybe, maybe not.

I'm happy to sit on the side of 'maybe based on the fact of what they've done before (in easier circumstances) as they've demonstrated they know what they're doing, by and large.

More than Kenny Jackett anyway.

if it’s such a winning formula why don’t all clubs adopt it?

It’s a nonsense argument and ultimately can only end one way

Exactly. Arrogance. Kompany has everything to prove at Burnley.
I'm sure a big parachute-enhanced transfer budget will help him prove he's a good manager.
Let's face it people are showering praise on that posy little twat of a Bournemouth manager for gaining promotion. Fact is anyone on this forum could have got them promoted.

Robins would piss this league with a Fulham/ Bournemouth budget imo👍😎

And he struggled to get that tin pot bunch of wankers up

Out of order from Kompany… The way Burnley have acted in this whole saga I’d happily take less money and sell to someone else

But I genuinely think Callum doesn’t really want this move, I think the people pushing it are his agent and potentially CCFC if they stand to gain a significant windfall

On Callum O'Hare: "I'm all for transparency. I would rather not lie but these things are hard until they are done, they can still go wrong. We think he is a great player, and we think he would be great for us but is a deal done, no."

They should just pay up or fuck off.

Personally think he will go , shame because the fans here 99.5% of them absolutely love the lad ... Will he get that at Burnley? Not sure .. but if the money is right what can we do ?

Ultimately we've been looking to sell a player and it just so happens a more ambitious club wants to buy one of them, don't really blame Burnley

That’s part and parcel of going to a club with more expectation/ambition however you want to frame it. You perform or you go back to wherever you came from

It’s not the sale that irks me, it’s Kompany openly talking about our players. That is why I hope they implode. Another big time Charlie club like Bournemouth who think they have the divine right to do and say what they want even when players are contracted elsewhere. Plus it’s a shit hole

This really rings of McSheffrey's move to Birmingham when they were trying to get him as cheaply as they could. Bruce was in the press for weeks before the deal went through moaning that we were standing in the players way and wouldn't sell for a fair price (their low valuation of course). McSheffrey ended up playing our first game of the season and scored the winner against Sunderland, after which we sold him to the Blues. Selling to a rival in the same league (and buying rubbish replacements) obviously had a negative knock on which we never really recovered from.

Still hoping he doesn't go, as while I'll be happy if O'Hare scores the winner against Sunderland, I'm not too keen on us repeating the other affects from the McSheffrey sale.

Im sure MR like most managers would not appreciate comments made about his players. All know the answer when asked, only when you are not getting your way do you resort to this sort of tactic. Its shows little class of a man who does know better, so its not someone id want to deal with or play for if am a player. Doesn't show transparency at all, show him up as a snake, trying to opening tap up a player he is stalking.

As for COH if he gets the chance the money will be to tempting to turn down i would of thought. But until he gets the chance to talk, he, agents or managers should be respectful of all parties involved. Obviously Kompany doesn't have respect for us and i get the feeling he thinks or is acting like Burnley are something special.

They may have the money, but this league has a way of biting u on the arse, if you take it for granted. Nothing is for sure, on any given day the best get beaten and if the squad is not together or are happy with the manager it can go very wrong very fast. Every game is tough, its not a league where teams tale notice of reputation in fact they use it and see you as a target. But who knows how it will pan out i certainly after this dont wish the manager luck.
