Yeah ideally I think we need a right back, a defense mid and a 10

I would take any of them positions being strengthened at the moment

time for sisu to give him some cash for a signing

Jason Knight of Derby answers two of those positions

Where's Greg Halford nowadays... He would cover all 3 and GK!!!

But, as mentioned by others, we have a squad with RB (kane - out of favour but if no-one wants him, capable), defensive midfield (Eccles and a few others?).
I think we have to try waghorn as AM - I hope palmer will get up to speed, but history suggests injury niggles and would love COH back soon.
I know this isn't ideal, but we have a squad of players and if others don't want / can't afford them, then surely we have to use them?

His dog and family are ok but his £50k per week has evaporated

I heard if promotion was gained his prem wage was going to be 50k week. I understand he is financially in a better place than most, but that will not compensate him for having to deal with a long lay off he now faces from doing what he loves to do. Its something since the age of 7 he has done on daily, weekly basis. Something due to his talent, desire and work ethic that has brought him and his family to the edge of life changing security. Now that certainty has gone for now and the game he loves has temporarily gone also.

Sometimes people don't understand, they think footballer, fame, money and luxury they have will have nothing to worry about. Well, life is not all about having money or the great things, that type of life brings you. The fear of something being taken away or having a period of weakness brought on by loss or a sense of defeatism can be very harmful no matter who you are or what you have. This is a physical injury that can create a psychological effect, when something so close is now far away.

This is a bad time for the lad, like any footballer injury is part and parcel of the profession. But don't be mistaken, he will miss every minute of not playing, training and being around the squad. Although he seems a positive person he will need all of that and more to get him through. Its easy to say get in with it, your rich, what's your problem, your not in war.... To that individual those words do not effect you, do nothing for you or make a drop of difference to how you feel, we are all selfish when hurt when it really comes down to it.

His world is now upside down, the club will look after him and the players like wise. But timing is a shocker he needs to know, that what is meant for him will not pass him. The chance will come again and his talent and desire will be a tool he will use again in his life when things don't go as expected.

I would encourage from experience all not to judge him or anyone else, a little thing to us could mean a big thing to others. We all need to stop pretending we are hard, we need to all stop pretending we know all and start to use the tools we have to understand others. This post is more about COH i suppose, but think before you post hidden behind a keyboard, remember we all have demons and at anytime they will look you in the face. We are all on here cus we want the same, not agree on the same. I want the clubs best players playing. I want promotion to show we belong as a big city and a relevant place. Having O hare injured is not good, hope the lad all the luck in the world. And anyone who will feel down due to any issue they have today, this forum is a great place to have an opinion that could be valued. In my opinion it will have saved a few from dark places, could send a few in as well, but long may it continue.

What? He's hardly in a Jodi Jones situation if he's out for 10 weeks.

He will be getting paid, state of the art rehab, treatment, physio, nutrition etc for those 10 weeks too. He will still be around the squad if he wants to go to Ryton and travel to games.

What about somebody self employed who gets paid fuck all and has to wait for the NHS to get sorted? It's a non comparison.

It's this type of stuff that causes more of the "look how much he gets paid, Im not feeling sorry for him".

Except only one real offer that came from a club that could not pay for him?

I think we can safely say Big Dave is going to have some serious explaining to do why he wasn’t already sold when Joy rocks up with a huge pair of nutcrackers on display

Based on what Skybluebeliever has said it sounded as if the club desperately needed to sell someone. Unfortunately I fear O'Hare's injury could mean Hamer will be sold pretty sharpish.

I'd nominate you for Pseud's Corner in Private Eye if you were famous. This is like a Tony Parsons column.

I'm sorry do we now have people on this thread who are upset that one of our best players didn't move to a team in the same fucking division because they feel sorry for him struggling away on 15k a week at the club they support?
Fuck me.

Looks that way. It also isn't as if he's out for the season, its just over 2 months apparently.

Maybe we should chip in for some flowers and a nice card saying sorry you didn't get your dream move to fucking Burnley.

I agree, i know others are worse off i wasnt comparing him to others. All i was saying is money, wealth or position will not stop him or anyone for that matter being put in a bad place mentally.

Now financial if you won the lottery and lost the ticket ur mind would not exactly be in a good place . And me telling you its ok, don't worry, what u moaning at, or your going to be rich would not help would it. Until u find that ticket ur head would be a mess and understandable so. Footballers hardest part of rehad is not the work its the mental aspects of getting back and having the confidence to get back to full speed. I dont feel sorry for him or any other player i do however understand in his exact position with what was on offer how his head might be in a bad place.
