Good to see you've piped upPeople can use the territory, foul winning and assists as much as they like, the simple fact is for a number 10 with the amount of chances O’Hares gets (wastes) and the amount of the ball he see’s - he should be hitting 6-7 goals a season.
I don’t want to turn this into a debate about a former player but McSheffrey was criticised endlessly on his return for us, playing at the top of the diamond as a 28 year old. McSheffrey managed 8 league goals two seasons in a row in a far poorer team. O’Hare won’t get close to 4 goals this season and this is in a far better team and on far more chances.
O’Hare isn’t providing the goals he should.
Good to see you've piped up
Are we gonna be saying this when he’s 28-29 ? Hasn’t he just turned 24 ?If COH scored goals he'd be in the PL already
We're lucky to have him
…isn’t that the point of a forum?
Well it simply is true based on some very real examples from recent games, forget xGA when I've seen him create 3-4 brilliant chances in the last half dozen or so games.
What's gonna happen first. O hare to score another goal or tavares to make his debut
I'm sure this will initially attract a barrage of insults, but as much as I really want the lad to succeed, he's not offering anywhere near enough for a championship attacking midfielder that plays every game.
I've heard comments that he is the best player we've had since relegation from the Premier League. Personally I don't see it at all.
I think we could sell him and whilst I'm not exactly confident the owners would reinvest it, should he go for the touted 5 million, even 20% of that would find someone who could score or assist more than what he is offering at the moment. Playing for territory is something wasps should be proud of, not us, and it feels like that and work rate are about his only major attributes. It's becoming a cult in itself though, and match after match there are people that leap to his defence in what in my view seems irrationally obsessive.
His stats in the league (last 3 seasons):
105 appearances
7 goals
16 assists
I've been at times really excited by him, and when we signed him from Villa permanently I was estatic, but that euphoria has seriously plateaued over time.
I'm not looking for emotive rage, just someone please, kindly and respectfully change my mind.
And so are 100% of experts!117.96% of stats are wrong m8
Have you though? One “sitter” was played behind Györkeres and wasn’t an easy chance at all. The header wasn’t easy either. People think every time the ball comes near a player in the box it’s a sitter, it’s not.
The pedant in me can’t let the “he’d have assisted loads if other peoples finishing was better”. That’s simply not true. His xA is one goal higher than his assists.
We generally don’t create great chances. We create lots of average to poor chances and that’s a team problem. TBH I think it’s a Robins playing style problem as we’ve never been high scorers since he’s been here. We have a habit of playing two or three forward thinking players at most while a lot of teams have four or five. Our wingbacks are very defensive minded and even O’Hare as an AM does a lot of defensive work.
Remember project fear predicting 10 million would be unemployed and the supermarkets would be empty if we voted for brexit
It's amazing how many remoaners have short memories!
Good to see all those lower costs, less red-tape, extra trade and jobs from Brexit, and that £350m a week for the NHS too. And that wasn't overly optimistic outliers predicting that - that was the main crux of the entire Brexit argument. It's amazing how many remoaners have short memories!

Easy said sell him,how could we get someone in of similar ability let alone better on robins budget. No he doesn't that's the whole point!
How can someone who has contributed 1 goal all season be described as "looking like a threat"?
He's a great player, and offers everything EXCEPT a threat.
Where the fuck did I say you said take him out the team?Where the fuck did I say take him out of the team? Seriously, where did you get that from?
Feel free to go back to my previous posts above and then tell me where I suggest he should be left out of the team.
Did I not even say he was m.o.m against Cardiff?
Honestly, some fucking people
I understand frustration with o hare but you make a valid point. People spent league 2 and 1 promotions seasons moaning. At what point do these people enjoy supporting cov?Best season in a generation and people complaining.
I pity your families.
Exactly. I've loved the last few years, new grounds, winning games, promotions, going to Wembley and actually winning there... twice.I understand frustration with o hare but you make a valid point. You may well be right, will we, under present circumstances, be able to compete with the teams at the top end of the Championship, who have greater resources, and stronger squads? But we’ve had an excellent few seasons, and have played some really good football in the first half of the season. If we can consolidate in the Championship, and work to strengthen the squad, then incremental improvement would be good for me.This is why we can't have nice things. O'Hare is not a player that is easily replaced. Like many have said, take him out of the team and we struggle.
No one matches his work rate and ability to create a chance but people want to replace him? Madness! We need more players of his ability in the team.

Now we've got to the championship, which I never expected to happen a few years ago. Apologies if I'm a killjoy now but I think that's about it. With the clubs situation, I think we've reached our peak. Hopefully I'm wrong again and we can have another special season.

Gyo has proved his worth already even if he don’t score anymore,Hamer is a holding MidfielderWhat about the Gyokeres chance against Reading or the Hamer chance against Blackpool?
I don't give a fuck about graphs or XG, they were sitters.

I wouldn’t as Hyam would be there to show the wayWhat are you on about?
The point is qbout chances created. I've given two examples of clear cut chances created by O'Hare that were missed.
If he'd missed those chances you'd be having a melt down.
