You're going home in a f*cking ambulance, was always a favourite.
Never got that. Why would the ambulance take you home?

'When Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly "Have you heard of the North Bank, Highbury"?
Shanks said "No, I don't think so but I've heard of the West end, aggro".'
'Da,da,da,da,da,da,da,da,da,da,da, (etc).... 'We are the West end, aggro'!
You can really see that Wolves were our big rivals in the songs from the 60's/70's.Sorry for the delay in replying, but how about one from our trips to Londo in the late sixties/early seventies :-
"Went down to London win or lose,
Picked on a Cockney, got chased by the screws,
We all love women and we all love booze,
We are the mental Sky Blues"
or
"Whose that knocking on the window?
whose that knocking on the door?
It's Bill McGarry and his mob, selling Dougan for a bob
and they won't beat The City anymore"
I suspect we're in the presence of Bernie Taupin :woot:Sorry for the delay in replying, but how about one from our trips to Londo in the late sixties/early seventies :-

I tried on so many occasions to get "Ndlovu, Ndlovu will tear you apart, again" going in the early '90's but it was met with mainly bemusement from my fellow supporters who clearly were unable to twiddle the knob on the radio from the settings for Mercia sound/CWR.Not one, not two but three or four, Peter scores and we want some more.....(sure that was sung about Ndlovu in the early days)
Wasn't she the barmaid on coronation street?I suspect we're in the presence of Bernie Taupin :woot:
That's a clever one . would've been a good chant .I tried on so many occasions to get "Ndlovu, Ndlovu will tear you apart, again" going in the early '90's but it was met with mainly bemusement from my fellow supporters who clearly were unable to twiddle the knob on the radio from the settings for Mercia sound/CWR.
Joy division? How apt is that???That's a clever one . would've been a good chant .
Doooooouuugan on the West end front, parlez vous,Sorry for the delay in replying, but how about one from our trips to Londo in the late sixties/early seventies :-

Yep, Wolves were the real enemy - see 'Dougans on the Western front' etc. and yes, as a 12,13,14 year old, went to away matches on the coach, Wolves, Sheffield U, Leicester, Forest, Leeds etc. No segregation, I spent most of the time scared witless! You can really see that Wolves were our big rivals in the songs from the 60's/70's.
Great name Red house coaches btw! How I look back on those trips with such affection and yet at the same time I must have spent so much time in fear during those days. Some stories I can tell!!!
We all hate wolves and wolves and wolves, wolves and wolves and wolves, we all fucking hate wolves.
Does a good hotpot.Wasn't she the barmaid on coronation street?
Ha ha! Yes, an old west terrace classic-forgot all about that one!Not a song but randomly was thinking the other day about every game in the Terrace when the opposition goalie would come jogging up and they would get a polite gentle round of applause only to be hit with a couple of hundred wanker signs if they were silly enough to clap back.
Amazing over the years how many fell for it.

But why do you feel the need to demoralise the oppositions fans?I was saying this to my son as we left the ground Saturday . in the 70's 80's 90's if you'd beaten a team as we did 3-0 or similar , you'd often hear the tune - Go home ya bums , go home ya bums , go home ya bums go home . why don't we hear these chants anymore ? it used to demoralise the opposition fans. there was plenty of gesticulation but , no good old fashioned demoralising chants .
Oh yes...that one ringing out around Hillsborough in the semi '87 was the most emotional living CCFC moment EVER for meyou are my city
my only city

Yes we did when we were young & foolish. I remember one time when he turned around & started conducting the choir lolDid we once sing at Peter Shilton Tina's into whips and chains do da?
I think it was a time when he was caught out with another woman.
Part of the reason I supported Cov. Lived in Bloxwich where it was probably mostly Wolves...I just wanted to be different & got a chance. The rest is historyDoooooouuugan on the West end front, parlez vous,

Give us a gun we'll shoot the ....,
Hinky dinky parlez vous!
Ironically my only real encourage ter with football hooliganism was a Wolves fan in the West End (I may have known the bastard too!) as he ran away...he booted me up the arse running away to escape & didn't stop to see if I was going to accept his offer of a draw at sunriseYep, Wolves were the real enemy - see 'Dougans on the Western front' etc. and yes, as a 12,13,14 year old, went to away matches on the coach, Wolves, Sheffield U, Leicester, Forest, Leeds etc. No segregation, I spent most of the time scared witless!
I remember being on the kop in the early 70's when the away fans were to the left of us.
