Does anybody know how many fans the Oldham away end holds?, as if we need to win there for automatic promotion or to clinch a play off place, the demand will be huge

I think they've moved the away end to the Chadderton End of the ground now, which is a smaller stand. They struggle to get over 4k home gates, so I am sure they can find space elsewhere to put additional away fans, probably in the new side stand.

Coldest I have been at a game was when we won 3-0 at Wimbledon when they played at the hockey stadium in MK. So cold that even when we scored the third celebrations were really half hearted.

Greater Manchester Police are sticklers when it comes to football, Whatever they allow us to have ticket wise that will be it. Looking at it it could be a crucial match for either end of the division so If we are seriously in the mix especially for the automatics it will be live on telly for certain, bouncing from game to game, but as you say I think a few thousand will go with or without tickets

Anyone remember being stood on the open terrace at Forest in torrential rain with kick being delayed more and more because the game was on TV and bloody Nelson Mandela had got released right before kick off!

Coldest I was was at Reading away in Feb 2012.

Parked a mile away and I honestly couldn't feel my fingers through Thinsulate gloves on the way to McDonalds and then to the car, horrible!

Also broke down on the way back to Cov (Stokenchurch) and all AA/RAC breadown recoveries were in action as the previous night was one of the coldest on record acording to the locals! Luckily our next door neighbour does breakdown recovery so he drove down to pick us up.

Oh god yes it was freezing that day, we were in the same kind of stand as they have at Gillingham now, like it was borrowed from the Open Golf Championship!

Coldest for me though was Roker Park in Jan 1990, the 0-0 draw when Speedie and Bennett ended up in the crowd and both got sent off.

Gillingham last season was baltic, conceding 3 in the last 10 mins didnt help either
Christ yeah, had to leave 20 mine before the end of that game as my lad was frozen stiff. Got to hear the gills cheers on way to train station!

Re: Oldham away allocation: I know a couple of years back Notts County took 3,500 sell out on the final day of the 13/14 season, so think the 1600 on FGG is just the initial allocation

Notts County were housed in the Rochdale Road end which WAS a split home/away stand at the time. These days, the away end is the 'Chaddy end' which seats around 3,200 so you should be fine should the last day be crucial. Most of the internet ground guides seem to copy the same (wrong) information that the stand holds only 1,600 fans.
