Anyone old enough to remember the fans clearing the pitch for a Div 1 game v Bolton St Patricks Day 1979 finished 2-2

Coventry City v Bolton Wanderers, 17 March 1979

Yes - i remember going up to Highfield Road with my wellies and a shovel after hearing appeal for volunteers to clear the pitch. We were rewarded with 2 tickets for the match in the main stand.

in the match Ian wallace scored 3 more - all disallowed
