Ive never had so many people agreeing with me. Its weird!

Mowbray has been, and always will be accountable for not only blowing promotion, but also getting us relegated by putting together a team that even I could play in.

Slade might not be the messiah by any means, but apart from being not very good, all he can be blamed for is being unable to fix Mowbray's (and Venus') mess.

Just like being unable to change all that, we always cannot change that you are wrong on this.

So many of our players are not good enough for League football in general. Including both our goalkeepers it must be about half the team.

Quite shocking.

Next year in League 2 is going to be anything other than a walk in the park too.

Back 4 - best defensive performance of the season against a strong Wycombe forward line. Slade then leaves 3 of them out. Relegated now, so play the young Coventry players who will battle. Kelly Evans out of contract at the end of the season. If I wasn't playing behind that donkey Foley I would look to move. Clarke can defend but can't pass the ball. Slade determined to play old players he has brought in ahead of better young Coventry players.

Read my previois posts cos cant keep typing it out

Utter bullshit imo to say team always going down.

Summer was poor i agree.We had 6 d 4 l under mowbray.

Venus won 4 out 5 or summat and then lost loads

Slade loses loads and has seemingly made the squad worse

Sisu take biggest blame. Then venus and slade need to fight it out in a steel cage match.

I really don't enjoy agreeing with ccfc4l, but you can't blame Mowbray. He left after 10 games, showed last season he can put a side together and Slade had all January to mould the squad in his image and failed miserably.
his pre season recruitment was baffling, we've been on the back foot ever since.
Make no mistake, he played his part as have Venus and Slade.

Whilst I don't think it's possible in reality that we'd ever get out of this, but it is mathematically possible. But the way the players were at that full time, they're clearly resigned to relegation.

Not that I blame them as we ourselves know we're all but down, and I'm not expecting them to be jumping around around a defeat, but if their beaten now when we could still do it, I'm not looking forward to the remaining games of the season :(

Let me also say im entitled to have a go at the manager of MY football team who hasnt won in 8. It does not mean that other posters have to say its all about mowbray just so they feel like they can win likes that way because they wont get any just focussing on slade.

But, mowbray left us bottom of the league after 10 games, 0 wins, 6 points, only 6 league goals and a poor squad that couldn't be changed until Jan. Slade has failed to address the issues so Mowbray, Venus and Slade must share culpability and responsibility for us going down. Statistically Venus has been our best manager this season.

Mowbray had last season, closed season and 10 games to put us in a good position for this season....he took us to the bottom....I say bring him back, tell him to stop being a coward and sort this fucking mess out he created...its easy to walk away!!!!

Right, fuck it we are down. Sack Slade, get someone in who can improve players through coaching and is going to be here for years building a squad based around the academy. Drop anyone who won't be here next season now and blood some kids, at least they'll go down with a bit of pride.

Get new recruiting infrastructure in place asap and look for a manager that can build something given 5 years at a club. Be it a youngster like eddie howe or a old man whos done it before.

If you're entitled to have a go at Slade for not winning in 8 games (and rightly so), they we're allowed to have a pop at Mowbray for not winning in 10, and been responsible for poor recruitment in the summer transfer window. Mowbray showed in 1 half of the last season he could put a squad together post Xmas is was relegation form.

The lot of them have failed, and mowbray knew this and decided to jump ship.

Have you looked into pts away from being out of top 4 after 10 games conpared to ots away from safety wheb vebus left and pts away from safety now? Dont focus so much on 24th position.

Said all along about our keepers being shit and not good enough, should of been a priority for all the managers we have had this last year, you need a steady keeper to install confidence in the team , as well as our forwards being shit like
Thought we would drop months ago and still think the same , I'm on faze 4 now of relegation Acceptance...
And I would much rather have Tm now than slade imo

Course u r. And ive battled where I feel different all season long. But surely that time has passed now??

If people disagree with my thoughts on slade bring it on. But dont keep bringing up old arguments vs mowbray cos u thibk that 1.

And collective you not aimed at you stupot.

The problem with building is getting sisu to finance longer term contracts and to get people in early pre season when there's no money coming into the club. A situation that will deteriorate further next year as more and more people don't renew their ST.
Fisher needs to look at this because we'll never improve as a club with the current constant turn over of players.

Sisu have abd are hurting ccfc more than mowbray venus and slade combined. We ahud never forget this even tho its easier to focus on football level as board politics is depressing.

The league was only 10 games in, the difference in the league is never that much after 10 games. Why can't you just admit that in his 10 game stint and in recruitment, mowbray failed this season?

We will pretty much all unanimously agree with you that Slade has failed since he joined.

Not having a go at you, but this year in the league has been a disaster start to finish. Its a fucking disgrace, we're going to playing in league two next season. I'm so angry right now.

You fucking love that Slade hasn't been able to fix Mowbrays mess. Every other fucking post is about mowbray it's embarrassing.

cov4life is just balancing some of the crap against Mowbray. But it is ok blaming Slade, Mowbray before that, Pressley before that...Thorne, Coleman.
Blame Venus, blame Waggott...
The one constant is Fisher who is currently blaming recruitment....you can go back to Pressley who came out and said there was no infrastructure, no scouting for recruitment.

My point is Fisher is responsible for the lack of infrastructure and stripping the club bare. You can't source players off YouTube. Mowbray "in the end I felt like I was just flipping coins." In other words gambling on players. Just like fans yelling "sign the Yak, he can't be any worse." No he can't, but he is j just another coin to flip.

Coventry City is slowly being allowed to erode. What it needs is to be rebuilt. The problem is the person who has to instigate that and lead it from the front is Fisher.
