Dovin has been brought in to be our long term no1, but while we have 3 keepers there has to be competition for the shirt, else what's the point? Not sure if this is aimed at me but that was what I was driving at. Dovin is the number 1. His debut wasn't remarkable but he didn't do anything paticularly wrong and people are talking about dropping him? I'm not too worried about him not claiming a cross or two in his first game with a back 4 he met a fortnight ago.
That said I don't get why some people are so determined not to praise Wilson either - he had a great game. Thomas, Kitching and Bidwell all seem to have been identified as boo boys. We've conceded one goal in two games.
I get you, I suppose for me Robins has made Dovin his no.1 and he needs to give him a run of games (unless there is a good reason to drop him). It is great that Wilson has shown he can come in and do a job if needed.Dovin has been brought in to be our long term no1, but while we have 3 keepers there has to be competition for the shirt, else what's the point?
Wilson's m.o.m performance at Bristol must surely give MR food for thought.
Whoever gets the shirt on Friday will know there's tough competition for it.
Also apologies to you and Calista (et al) if I came over as a bit of a d!ck last night. It's holiday season, I'd had some raki... I was going for funny... and err.. yeah...He was being sarky

Sorry to but in, but ive just come back from Crete, and having done a number of Greek islands I'd have to say that Crete has become a little too commercialised for my liking.Love the Greek islands , done Corfu , Rhodes , Kefalonia and Halkidiki but never been to Crete .

Thank you Gloria.I’ve been to many a Greek islands but I find Kefalonia the best and I go back every year ( out of schools holidays) . So layer back and easy .

I hoped you’d say Kefalonia was rubbish. I was supposed to go there on my cruise in May but the weather called it off because the port is tiny.I’ve been to many a Greek islands but I find Kefalonia the best and I go back every year ( out of schools holidays) . So layer back and easy .
Yeah weve been to a small fishing village in Corfu called Moraitika. It's beautiful and not overly developed.Sorry to but in, but ive just come back from Crete, and having done a number of Greek islands I'd have to say that Crete has become a little too commercialised for my liking.
In fact we've just booked to go back to Corfu next summer, (for the 8th time) we've found a small resort in Corfu that's a bit of a throw back to old style Greek holidays, not to busy but with some traditional style authentic tavernas with Greek dancing and original Greek style home cooking.
It's ideal if that's your thing, (no nightclubs and no pissed up teenagers)
Crete's enormous, impossible to generalise, but yes the most popular areas are pretty commercialSorry to but in, but ive just come back from Crete, and having done a number of Greek islands I'd have to say that Crete has become a little too commercialised for my liking.

Sort to disappoint you but you have missed out . Agostoli is a small port but the town has some great restaurants and bars .Already booked for next JuneI hoped you’d say Kefalonia was rubbish. I was supposed to go there on my cruise in May but the weather called it off because the port is tiny.
The scenery looked amazing.

We've done Sidari as well late in the season and that was fine
You're not a newbie, that's relatively on topic for hereSwedish GK, CCFC, Greek Islands. Makes sense.
...that's relatively on topic for here
Crete has everything and could literally be a country by itself, Rhodes good for history and sightseeing tooI was thinking of doing Greece for the first time next year, want sun and a quiet pool, and the ability to go sightseeing Ancient Greece stuff easily. Where’s best?
Um, I’ll watch Oliver Dovin videos by the pool so it’s thread relevant.
Always fancied Kassiopi in the North, anyone been?Yeah weve been to a small fishing village in Corfu called Moraitika. It's beautiful and not overly developed.

We always stayed in Rethymnon which had a good balance between amenities, things to do and explore, and not being *too* commercialised. Had great fun in trolling the scammy restaurant touts by the harbour.Sorry to but in, but ive just come back from Crete, and having done a number of Greek islands I'd have to say that Crete has become a little too commercialised for my liking.

Went for a wedding a few weeks ago and it was unreal.I’ve been to many a Greek islands but I find Kefalonia the best and I go back every year ( out of schools holidays) . So layer back and easy .
When we went to Corfu in the eighties we stopped at a resort called Perama and hired some scooters to ride up to Kassiopi. It was a nice quiet little fishing type village then but don’t know if it’s still like that now.Always fancied Kassiopi in the North, anyone been?
I wonder what Greek island Dovin has preference for.
