Talk in Sweden that talented goalkeeper Oliver Dovin is on his way to a Championship club and some Hammarby fans think it’s Coventry.

Oliver Dovin looks set to leave Hammarby. According to Tuttosvenskan, the goalkeeper and Bajen are in negotiations with a Championship club about a transfer.

He’s their number 1 and played for the Swedish national team. That’s pretty decent for someone about to turn 22. You do do realise it’s the middle of the season in Sweden?

Tbf I forgot about that, what do you think that means for the transfer? He’ll stay there until winter? Or maybe not likely to happen? Or the offer’s too good for them to turn down?

He's a first choice keeper and has been for the last 2 seasons, and a full international for a good international team at 21?
He's played 2 games at International level.
Which is great at his age, but is he experienced enough to come here and be our first choice?

I'd be happy to see him as a prospect, and on the bench, but I'd be surprised if he takes over as no1 for the start of the season, which is what we need.

If he joins he will start the season I'd imagine.

He would be coming to be number 1. He’s a full Swedish international at 21 which shows how highly rated he is. Robins being Robins may wait for him to get his chance but Collins gives me no confidence.

People think we would spend a couple million on a back up keeper

I’m going to take a punt and say Brad Collins would definitely not have any international caps if he was Swedish….

Their fans seem to be furious he could be leaving and I’ve read some rave reviews which is always a great sign.

agree on Collins. I want a new keeper and fast. Obviously I don’t know much about Dovin but seems a costly gamble at 2m to be a back up keeper first.

I would and this is just me personally rather a ready made championship keeper with solid pedigree to go from day 1.

But the prices would be hugely inflated for a top quality Championship keeper. To be honest I can’t name a keeper I think is amazing in this league. We will always get better value and potential from abroad.
