No its no different to someone from one side sending a PM telling someone to "back off" is it really?

How much does a PM cost compared to a solicitor's letter from a very expensive law firm? So a big difference really.

Effectively a warning shot in the air either way but one costs money for a lawyer to do it.

When you've 'invested' £50m+ what's the cost of a lawyers letter between friends - might even have them on a retainer.
