That’s basically Mcnulty telling them to fuck off.
Quite right too. They are a bunch of clueless clowns, and wtf has Dennis Mortimer got to do with anything? I’m sure if Sparky wanted his advice, he’d bloody well ring him and ask him for it.
Ex villa twat!!!

His dad says just standing his corner, pretty obvious.

Obviously annoyed him and I can understand why, if he wasn't as confident about his abilities it wouldn't really help him.

As he says - top scorer for 3 different clubs and gets called a fluke - that'd piss me off too!

Hopefully doesn't get to him too much though

Of course mcnulty doing it at THREE different clubs is a fluke. It always amazes me that these fluky players end up time and time again being in the right place at the right time. Of course I’m sure the CET and Mr Mortimer also think it’s a fluke that ronaldo and messi are constantly top scorers in la Liga and the champions league.

Funded by Wasps so therefore want CCFC to do shit? For example, helping their best player head for the exit door by winding him up.

Is that what you were trying to say, or have I massively jumped to conclusions?

sounds like some crackpot conspiracy theory doesn't it?!

It would anger me , spent a good portion of the early season being berated by supporters then Has a wonder season by our standards becomes the clubs top scorer for over 50 years then gets his ability indirectly questioned by a former villa captain and a mediocre click bait shit rag .

Wish the telegraph would fuck off

To be fair, the underlying message is not a bad one. The grass is not always greener. Here he is the number 1 striker at a club where he's loved. Moving to being a squad member at a higher level and having to bide your time for the opportunity to prove yourself, while being under pressure to do so when the chance does come your way, can be difficult for a player. The article is horribly worded though.
A 'Please stay Marc!' article that coherently lays out that argument with some anecdotes from an ex player who made the step up somewhere but went on to struggle would have been a much much better article than Mortimer basically saying ' yeah but you might be shit somewhere else'

Fair play to McNulty. CT stories seem to have dried up recently ie not breaking transfers before the club like they did for a while so probably desperate for ‘clicks’!

Plus McNulty has gone on a stag do today so probably has had a couple of beers and rightly so thought sod that!
