I wonder how many of that 1914/15 squad came back alive from the war. :(
Half of them that did probably succumbed to the Spanish Flu. Today is easy street.

Also interesting to note, Jerry Best was a City goalkeeper. He was one of the ones injured. He injured his arm during the war, but came back and made 236 appearances for the club between 1920-1926.

He was also only 5' 7".

While we're looking at Cov kits which kit is a favourite one ? I'd go for the one in 1981-83 when Talbot were the sponsors. And the green/black stripes away kit in 74-75 season,bit continental at the time. But there's been so many so hard to choose.

All the egg timer ones I like blue,brown,red. think there was a yellow one too . the earnie hunt kit. and the sky blue v neck black shorts sky blue socks.

Its been called worst kit ever the brown one in 78-81 but looking at it now it's not that bad. I was there when they wore it when WBA thrashed us 7-1 so maybe that's why I disliked it so much back then !
