I think 19 points with wins against Oxford, Norwich, Watford, Blackburn, and Preston (yes, away), and draws against Stoke, Bristol C, Swansea, and Sheff Wed.
Just 1 defeat away to Leeds.

we’ll beat Stoke next weekend, and I also think we’ll beat Sheff Weds, their run won’t last that long…

beating Norwich will be a big ask but a good test of where we are

20 pts in first 10 games will be sufficient. To go up need average of 2pts per game over season to get to 92pts. Sounds simple.

Bristol was a very strange game , with every bit of luck going their way & we went to sleep on their first attack , just before half time …… how to batter a team , for best part of 75 minutes & lose 1 - 0 !
Let’s have a massive turnout at Preston to back the lads ….. a Saturday game ( wow ) so every chance of 5k to see us bring home 3 glorious points

Anything north of 16 points will be a pretty decent start.

Norwich have lost Sara to Galatasary so that mutes their attacking prowess some. Still be hard to beat but not as bad as last season.

If we beat Preston, we win the league. I am not even joking!

If we beat Preston, we'll be celebrating as if we'd won the Champions League Final.

First time ever ?

Many on here predicting form we've never achieved, yes we look strong and a good start is important, but you win nothing in August, September, October it's a marathon not a sprint.

Ps yes I want us to get off to a flyer, but don't wet the bed if it doesn't happen.

Easier to maintain a lead than to play catch up. Getting off to a bad start last season was the whole problem.

Actually it was the form at the tail end of the season, all be it the Cup run may have hindered us.
Can't be arsed to look, but wasn't it about 1 point from the last six.?

It would be good to put the Preston voodoo to bed. Playing then so early in the season gives us at least half a chance.
Preston away is normally some wet Tuesday night in November

To be fair looking at last seasons first 10 our problem was draws. W3 D5 L2. Hopefully our increased firepower will help solve that problem.

Most of those draws were defensive errors weren’t they?

You are both right here. We were terrible right up to early/mid November and blew any chance of challenging at the very top long before xmas.

We then matched the top 2s form through until April and should have snuck 6th but threw away a 1-0 lead against Cardiff, losing 2-1 without them having a meaningful shot (2 o.g). Took 4 points from the last 8 (beating Leeds??) when 3 wins and a draw should have seen us over the line.
