Some say this is a crappy competition, the club has had their last penny, the recent football is dreadful and we are bottom with no hope. All of that is right. this club does not deserve our support under these present owners and the fodder they have produced. But here's the thing...Its not the 'value' placed on this competition but the very fact we can make a cup final at Wembley after 30 years. Its not about the dire football and relegation after relegation we have suffered to find ourselves where we are today.

Yes its a Mickey Mouse cup but to CCFC it may well propel us to survive as a football club. Too strong an emphasis? No not really because we are in such a dreadful position and the atmosphere in this City is so bad its palpable to everyone.
Getting to Wembley would be huge for our club given the current circumstances. It's not even about winning the final, it will give the club a lift and something to fight for as a club. The media will be all over it should we make the final simply because its us and the history that goes with that. That raises profiles, instills spirit in the club and players, and in turn I hope we get the benefit of a rebound in form to propel a real fight at staying up.

I think it's our lifeline to survival that will keep us alive so we can further the exit of the parasites that own us.
Fail and we will blunder into league 2 obscurity, unsaleable and most likely see SISU liquidate the club.

While I understand a lot of people are not interested in the 'largely pointless' competition and have just had enough of the owners along with the current league position and dire football, I will make the following suggestion:
Get yourself up there. Show the team a big crowd, a big atmosphere and the will to win. YOU will be fighting for the very survival of our football club by doing so. Put your hatred of SISU aside on this occasion, this is not about them. If we can will the ball into the Wycombe net a few times, then not only a good day out beckons but we may just stand a chance of surviving by giving this club something to rally behind. Is that worth a fiver and 90 minutes of your time? I think so.

Yes, it would be nice to get to Wembley, but I don't see it making any difference to our almost certain relegation or to our longer-term future.
I doubt any income earned will go to strengthening the team.

Our very own survival is, and always will be, based on the owners actions. All us fans have done, is stood by and watch the demise of this great club, the demise brought on by SISU and their actions towards this club. It's not about the football anymore, it's about the death of this club we're currently witnessing, not everyone wishes to see the last moments of it, it's broke most of the fans hearts.

I'm going because I want to support the players and see Coventry city reach a Wembley Final again. I also think that this can only attract buyers to the club which we desperately need.

I do understand why fans won't go to league games at them moment and why many of the fans throw thing like Tennis balls on the pitch. The silent majority of fans (I.e the 15,000 or so that no longer go) want rid of Sisu and as fans that still go we should recognise that. Right now thousands of fans can no longer stand the hurt and upset of watching CCFC fail every week in and off the pitch and won't pay SISU more money in management fees to make thing worse.

But if your a not a penny more fan or are boycotting the club, make an exception for this.

Then why are you a season ticket holder? A supporter is someone who supports their team through thick and thin, good and bad times - especially the bad times.
We don't have a right to be successful. We have to earn it. While that looks erroneously impossible under SISU, none the less we have a chance to help try and improve in spite of them by supporting the team in the most important game we have faced for some time. This is the one chance and perhaps the only chance to do that or there may be no club left to buy a season ticket for.

Well written, mixed emotions for all, sadly, this club cannot move forward with the current owners. Too much blood has been spilt and it is all as a result of the move to Northampton and the alienation of the fans. That can never be healed. It only takes a poor run of games to resurface and we are on a long run now.

But, as a season ticket holder (last year for us with these owners) I remember why I go, I go with friends, i go with my son who has endured 22 years of me taking him from the age of 2 and his first season ticket at 3.

I do for hopefully the small joys that the players on the day can bring and the small hope of a play off place or a trophy.
At our level, we only have this cup and therefore, I hope whatever lucky charm we can call on can help us through tonight because I want to enjoy taking my son to see our team at Wembley before we bow out at the end of this year.

I support all those who voice an opinion to boycott and also those who wish to continue, fans have always been divided over the years, on managers, owners, players and on simple things like man of the match after a game. It's what makes the game great.

Let's hope we win tonight for all those youngsters and under 30. Let them savor a moment of success before the club perishes.
Remember why you first went to watch the club. It wasn't because of Graham Hover, John Poynton, Tim Fisher et al. It was for the chance to see something special.
Tonight could be that and this may be the last time you have a chance before our club goes under.
