Must’ve been the last of them I was on at 12:05 and nothing left then or at least it wouldn’t find any and I was only looking for 1
Got mine at 12:15

Got ours at about 12:10. Think the system is a bit flaky sometimes with tickets in people baskets then getting released.

I got mine this morning but was able to get one for my cousin at around 5 past 12. Such a rubbish away day made worse that it’s early kick off

Didn’t wanna go anyway!! I’d rather not taint my memories of Dabo slicing in two own goals, and Jobello stealing a wage!

I’ve done it several times particularly at Leicester but I was also at the back of the Trinity Road stand at Villa when Moldovan scored in front of us in the Cup match. My mates and I thought we were the only Cov fans in that stand but when he scored we saw that we weren’t alone! Locals were not very happy at all.
I was in there too. Moved towards the city fans second half and stewards ushered over the fence into the city end at the final whistle.

Lots of games haven't sold out this season, you just don't want to put the effort in and do the hard yards!
That’s true to an extent, however there’s supporters in these top points brackets that are purchasing away tickets to sell them on, in order to get their points. Hence why there’s a big WhatsApp group that are doing exactly this.

Only did it once but in style. Sat in the Villa stand when we beat them 4-1 in 1995. enjoyed the result but not being able to celebrate really does put a dampener on it
We were there too in the home end.

plus Millwall when we won, Adam Armstrong on fire) plus WBA for a night match in the 80’s and when we scored, I leapt in the air, quickly pulled back down again by my Baggie supporting mate.

Possibly worthy of its own thread but do people ever sit in the home end for away matches?
Done it loads of times back in the day, sometimes due to stupidity. North Bank at Wolves and at Leeds surrounded by NF nutters.
Spoils it when you can't jump up when we score (as we did on both occasions).

Good! I sat in the away end vs Utd one year…the year Hartson scored first, and we lost 4-2.
When the teams came out the bloke infront of me complained that I was clapping too loud.

Is there anything in the local 'laws' or carpark rules to say you can't stand on top of a vehicle/van/bus and watch the match?

We were winning in that and lost it late. I was in the United end too as I went on their coach from Leamington/Kenilworth. Celebrated twice in front but got it back in spades from them.

Bit off topic, but feel obliged to chip in to say yup, was in the Trinity Road for the cup game too. Heard tickets were on general sale so we left The Rocket to go and get one, asked in my best brummie voice for ones close to the City fans. Got more and more animated as the game went on as we were somehow not scoring and went bonkers when Moldovan finally scored.

I remember at the end Villa fans were stood next to the exit of the stand just waiting for us. I asked the nearest old bill if we could leave with the Cov fans and he gave it the 'no, no, limited number of fans per exit etc'. I pointed out there would be a riot if he didn't let us and so he said to wait a few mins, which we did and walked out giving it large to the Villa fans from a safe distance.

Managed to get tickets in the City end for the last game of the season there in 1992, the 4-1 win in 1999 and also when we went down in 2001, but they're whole different stories! Might start a Villa Park experiences thread before we next play there...

I grew up the next street from Hackneyfox so knew him very well. A couple of us were getting the train to Leicester from Rugby in the late 70s and so was he and somehow he convinced us to go in the home end. We lost 3-1 & after 1 of their goals one of the Leicester fans worked out we were Coventry fans as we didn't celebrate the goal & Hackneyfox managed to convince him we weren't and saved us from getting a beating.

I seem to remember them bringing Beckham on and thinking to myself, “ah yeah, he is fucking brilliant”.
I think utd won the league that day as Arsenal lost to Middlesbrough…possibly 3-0?

Really not sure tbh I was eating humble pie (along with 2 other city fans on the coach) but we were all wasted, it was a coach full of pissheads we drank on the way, went to the pub and then lots of cans stood with them outside Lou Macaris chippy.

Thought I would have been ok with 1460 but not a sniff. Looked at hospitality but at £168 + the dreaded and no booze included, I'll give it a miss. See if I can pick one up of someone who can't go.
